I heard a “thud”, then came screaming. Caele fell on the floor with a badly wounded arm.

“Caele !” I screamed as i sprinted towards her.

She was lying on the floor , in pain. Her arm was bleeding badly from the claw scratch. I saw tears in her eyes, i knew she must have been hurt badly.

“Caele ! It’s going to be alright ! ” I yelled.

“Oh...really ? ” The beast growled.

“You are next honey cake !” It roared with laughter. (ugh! What kind of name is honey cake...That's really disgusting you...old lady !)

“Bring it on!” I yelled at the fury mammal.

I pulled out my bronze sword and charged at the beast. I aimed at its head and i slashed my sword. Unluckily , she dodged just in time. I clench my sword tightly with my sweaty hands. I charged at the fury monster once again, this time, it didn’t went well at all. The beast raised its sharp claws, slicing the fabric of my shirt in the mid section. Perhaps , It missed the flesh behind it by a few centimeters.

I swung my sword giving a cut on its foot. The beast growled in pain and it punched me with its oversized fist which sent me flying. I landed on a bush nearby the “battle field”. All i could feel was pain, my legs were hurt badly. I could hear the screaming of my friends.

Something picked me up, i was held up to the sky. My legs were dangling in the air, i looked up and saw a pair of glowing red eyes. I’m dead.I thought. The beast opened its mouth and tried to swallow me whole. Just then , i heard a scream. The beast fell down on its knees and dropped me on the ground. A dagger was stabbed behind its back. Kathy pulled the dagger out with her bloody hands.

“Where..did you get that?” I asked.

“It was a sacred dagger from my grandma.” She answered.

Caele was still lying unconscious on the mossy floor beside her. I tried to get up, but i fell down again. My legs were badly wounded. Blood was dripping down my forehead.

“I will find a place for you guys to stay and to heal both of you. You can’t go on in this condition.” Kathy said.

“Thanks.” I said.

“Wait me a second, i will be right back.” Kathy said .

“Bu-”

Without finishing my sentence , she had already ran into the thick woods.
