We got out of the resort and followed Taron.
"Hey...so did you have a GOOD night's sleep yesterday ?" Caele asked as she pulled me aside.
"Oh..come on !"I rolled my eyes playfully. "I got a cold...and i had a nightmare."
"Oh really ? Why did't you tell us ?" Caele asked.
"I just...don't want to bother you guys too much. You guys always have to worry about me. " I muttered.
"It's ok silly ! We are friends right? Friends share secrets." She smiled.
"Tell us what happened."
Caele draged Kathy aside and i told them about the scary dream i had last night. I didn't mention the part about Taron of corse.Kathy bit her lips,
"Scary..."
"But it's only a dream right? " Caele knitted her eyebrows.
"Well...i hope so." I said in an apprehensive tone.
"It's gonna be fine,Layla. " Kathy said rubbing circles on my back.
I let out a sigh. "Yea...i guess..."
"You guys still there ?" Taron asked looking back. We are having some girl time back there.
"I found a shortcut !" He shouted.
"Great !" I smiled.
"Go get him, girl!" Caele said as she pushed me towards Taron.
"I will get you..." I mouthed.
"Hey ! Wait up !" I shouted as i ran towards Taron.
"Come on crystal girl !" Taron teased.
I hit him on the shoulder.
"Don't call me crystal girl..."
We held hands and we got to the short cut. The short cut was...um...obviously...short...
There were tall trees and we also passed a little pond. The place made me thought of a family trip that i had with my parents when i was young. I still remembered the three of us having a picnic under the shades beside a little pond...happy times. I looked at the pond and a tear rolled down from my cheeks.
"What's wrong ?" Taron asked as he put a hand on my shoulder.
"Dust in my eye..." I said rubbing my eyes,trying to hide away the tears.
"Why did you guys stop? Keep going!" Caele said.
We walked for minutes and we finally came to a stop. We came out from the short cut and we saw the highway again.
"Hey...is that the highway ?" Kathy asked.
"Yes indeed." Taron replied.
"The bus stop!" I exclaimed as i pointed to my right.
It was at the other side of the road.
We crossed the road and we finally reached the stop.
"We are here...FINALLY!" Caele screamed in excitement.
We were all panting from the walk.
Taron took some bottled water and handed it to the three of us.
"Thanks..." I said wiping the sweat from my forehead.
"Welcome to The Cave Of Maximus!" Taron said spreading his arms.
"It's...beautiful ! Not as scary as i thought it would be." I stared in amazement.
"Come on ! Let's go!" Caele said enthusiastically.
