17. Cry

[Jongdae's POV]

"She's not here, Mr Kim."

The door swung open and there stood a familiar brunette, looking stern and cold towards me.

"Hey Jasmine," I smiled awkwardly.

I know she was Minzi's dance colleague and her best friend.

"I am not very pleased to meet you here, though. Thanks for ruining her life and making her so upset. You may leave now." She struck firmly.

"Look, I'm really sorry for what happened. I'm here to make it up to her. I'll explain, it's all a misunderstanding. Please, Jasmine, trust me on this." I pleaded.

"How... just how could you do this to her?!"

"I'll never want to do anything like this to her!"

"But it happened, her heart's broken, and now you're here looking apologetic? What's this? You think being a star means that everything's gonna pass? That you'll continue with your life, and she'll continue hers, and soon nobody will care?"

Those unreasonable assumptions just made me boil a little more. I would never bring those intentions upon Minzi.

"Don't speak like that! You know that's not what it is!"

"Oh that's how I see it is. I can't trust you, Mr Kim. Leave please."

"I can't leave like this Jasmine, please. If she's in, give me the chance to tell her..."

"You can't fix anything anymore. Don't forget that you're a top star, Mr Kim. You don't fix things like this with just a sorry and I'm wrong and a 'I promise it won't happen again'.

For once, I thought that you and her was possible. But after all these, all the times you made her cry over and over? I don't and I can't support this anymore.

You're a star. You can't control your life and both you and I know that. If you knew what's best, you would know to leave her alone from now on. Break this relationship while you can. I'm saying this honestly for the sake of you and her."

"No. You're wrong." I argued stubbornly.

"You have no idea how much she means to me. I don't care if I'm a star. I know what I want. I'm going to do what it takes to get her safe and happy."

"She's safe if you stay away Jongdae! You-"

"I love her too much, Jasmine!"

I confessed loud and clear to get this to her head.

"I love her too much to leave her at a time like this. And I'm not gonna sit around, thinking that time would heal her broken heart when it's been my fault all this time.

I want to be with her, give her my support and make her feel most appreciated, most loved and the happiest when she's with me.

I...can't lose her Jasmine. She might be able to do without me, but I can't do without her..."

I caught onto the last of my breath after speaking out my heartfelt feelings.
