We were running down to the last 15 seconds of the school year, while Miss Carlos was still talking infront.

I guess nobody listened anymore; well, heck, it is the last day of school!

*RIIIIIING*

As the bell rang, everyone quickly got out of their seats and fixed their stuff.

Miss Carlos told us to sit down for a while and I heard many ughs and screams.

"Okay class, it was nice spending the whole school year with you. Goodbye, 8th graders. I hope you have a fantastic summer vacation!" She gave us a big smile as she handed us tokens. They were bears that had personalized clothes.

We all said goodbyes to one another. And as per tradition, I made my schoolmates write on my shirt.

The last person was Katrina. She is my best friend.

We gathered all our stuff and walked to the gate where our parents would fetch us.

"So, Kat, where do you plan to spend your vacay?" I asked.

"Well, we are going to Canada. How about you?"

"I do not know pa eh. But mama is telling me about this summer camp in La Union."

"That sounds fun; I wish I can come with you."

*beep beep*

"Kat, my ride is here. I am going to miss you so much. Facetime me always okay? I love you bestie." I said and kissed her cheek.

I went to the car and saw our driver and my nana.

"Nana where is mommy po?"

"Ay nak, mamayang gabi pa ata uuwi yun. Matulog ka muna habang hinihintay siya ha?"

"Okay po. Just tell her to go to my room if she's home na."

I opened my phone and played Episode because I was soooo bored.

*ting*

Mommy Den
Hi baby, mom will be home by 6. I love you.

Me: Oh hey mommy, we are otw home na po. See you later. I love you tooooo.
Ps, can you bring Vanilla Ice Cream?

Sure baby. Take Care.

Me: Take care too, Mom. Mwah.

I looked outside and sakto, nasa bahay na kami.

I carried my bag and went upstairs. I turned the airconditioner and the television on. I saw an old movie playing. It is Wish Upon A Star.

I enjoyed the movie and then I suddenly thought...

What if I actually had a sister?

I know it is crazy but who knows?

I looked at my shelf and saw the summer reading books I should read this vacation. I picked "The lady and the unicorn".

I was just reading until I felt so tired and fell asleep.

"Hey babygirl, wake up, mommy is here." I felt someone kissing my face.

It must be mommy.

I opened my eyes to see a very pretty lady with blue eyes, raven hair, and flawless skin.

"Hey mommy, good evening. How is work po?" I asked her and scooted a bit to give her space para matabihan niya ko.

"Oh, same same baby. How about you, how is school?"

"Oh, same same mommy." I mimicked her kaya kinurot niya ako sa nose.

"Hay nako babygirl. Why don't you fix yourself and go sa dining room? Theatre after dinner!" She said and planted a kiss on my forehead.

"Okay mom, I will be there po." I said and she went out. I picked up a halter top and my spandex. Well, those are my comfy clothes eh.

I went downstairs and saw Bon Chon takeout on the table. I sat by mommy. Tinawag niya na din yung maids and everyone else para sabay sabay na kami.

"Madz, lead the prayer na baby." Mommy said

So I said the prayers and we started eating na. After that, Mommy and I grabbed popcorn, milk, cookies, water, ice cream, and jelly beans, then went to the theatre room.

After the movie, we went to mommy's room.

"So, babygirl. About the summer camp, do you want to go?" She asked

"I do not know mommy. It is pretty long, 1 and a half months din eh?"

"Well okay then, I will give you time to think. Just tell me, baby, okay? Sleep na, I love you" mommy said as she tucked me in and kissed me.

"Good night, mom. I love you too." I said as I drifted to sleep.
