Lady Breyette
Breyette stormed back and forth the lounge room , with an invitation sent by her recluse brother crushed in her right hand.
"Can you believe the nerve! Of that...that no good scheming lying rotten -"
"Darling" gently interrupted her mother.
Breyette turned towards her mother, who was fanning herself and staring blankly at the ceiling.
"Mother! Jareth is ushering in a new Queen! Without a word! Without so much of a visit! He sends us a blasted invitation of all things! Why did he even both to do that! "
Her mother glances at her. Her eyes blank, bored and frankly, tired."What surprises me darling is that you don't know your own brother."
Breyette plopped down next to her mother in silent frustration.
Every single Fae she was related to lost every ounce of there sanity.
Who knew what Jareth was up to and why. Where did he even find this woman? Who was this woman? Why didn't he mention anything during their last visit? What about the woman from before? The one he fell silent for.
She looked over to her mother, who was still lazily fanning herself while staring at nothing in particular.
"Mother" she said.
"Yes my love" she replied, expressionless.
"Aren't you the least bit worried, we don't even know who this girl is or where she came from."
With that, her mother gave a faint smile. A smile very much like Jareth's smug grin.
"As odd and...rebellious Jareth can be, he is no fool. We must trust that everything is going according to whatever plan he has. After all, he was chosen to be king for a reason. "
Breyette had nothing to say.
She knew her mother wouldn't admit it, but she was happy Jareth seemed to be returning back to his former self. As obnoxious and scheming as he was.
Breyette uncrumpled the invitation in her hand. Her eyes going over the silver letters once again.
With wide eyes, she stood up immediately.
"Breyette." Her mother said, not bothering to hide the irritation anymore.
"The woman! The woman!" Breyette shouted repeatedly.
"Brey-"
"The new Queen is that woman! I must tell Grayven!" With that Breyette ran off, leaving her confused and irritated mother with the crumpled invitation. The name Sarah dancing in her head.
