"What should I wear tomorrow?" I looked up from my phone to see Katie on the floor surrounded by her luggage. There were clothes all around her and it looked as if her own luggage was throwing up the clothes inside.
"Just wear something comfortable." I went back to scrolling through my phone looking at pictures of Luna, missing her.
"Okay, but should I go for something sporty, fashionable, or something that combines both and is still fashionable?" I listened to Katie blabber as I stared at her talking to herself. "I have some cute shirts here, but should I go for a long sleeve or what?"
I sighed as I shook my head. I knew one person who would love to help Katie with her problem, so I dialed Gemma who I knew would love sorting through Katie's entire wardrobe and work with her in finding a perfect outfit for a day out of touring.
"Cassie!" I smiled as I heard Gemma on the other side of the line. Katie sat mumbling at herself as she kept taking clothes out.
"Hey Gems, I was wondering if you could come by the house for a moment?" Gemma gave me a quick and excited yes before I hung up. I turned to Katie as I sighed and moved to sit beside her.
"Katie, just wear jeans, a cute top, and some comfy trainers." I caught the clothes she kept throwing at the side, folding them neatly. "You complicate your life for no reason."
Katie turn and shot me a frustrated look. "You're not helping the situation." She then turned to look at the pile of folding clothes I was creating. "Why are you folding those?" I dropped the clothes from my hands as I blinked at her and just stared at her rummaging through her bags.
This was a usual dilemma I faced with Katie. I tended to slip myself away from the situation by letting some of her other friends know and shifting the issue to them, because I genuinely did not care for these things much. I liked clothes, but not the extreme that Katie did. She always stressed about her outfits when there was an event taking place, and no matter what I did, it seemed I never helped the situation.
"I'm going to the loo." I stood up, careful to not move anything and quickly escaped. I sighed as I moved downstairs hoping Gemma would come quickly.
"Now that she has had closure, I think you should make your move man." I stopped as I heard Luke speak a bit quietly. I stepped around softly so as to not announce my presence. "There's obviously something between you two, test the waters."
I walked into the kitchen and the boys gave each other a look. "Are you guys conspiring without me?" I imitated their volume as I walked to get some water.
"We're always conspiring without you." I nodded knowing well the gender pairing in our friend group always tended to have their own secrets. "What's Katie doing?"
I grabbed a cup from the cabinet above the faucet. "I escaped her usual quest to find the perfect outfit." I filled the cup with water as I heard Luke hum in response. He knew well how his girlfriend was and acted.
"Guess I'm staying here for awhile." I laughed as I nodded in agreement. Ashton was sipping on a tea cup and I walked towards him trying to have a peak at what he was drinking.
"What are you drinking?" Ashton looked up at me as he pushed his cup towards me. I peeked inside and saw the amber colored liquid. I made a face as I stepped back.
"I will never get over the fact that you are English and hate tea." Ashton and Luke grinned at each other as I shrugged.
"It's gross to me." I shrugged. Ever since I was young the taste of tea just never sat well with me. The taste upset my stomach and triggered my gagging reflexes.
