-Athena-

"Alaric's apartment? What could you possibly need here?" I ask impatiently.

"Well for starters, Katerina still hasn't paid her debt," Klaus grins. I roll my eyes at his obsessive need to make someone miserable.

We enter Alaric's apartment and I instantly spot Katrina sitting at the table drinking a bottle of bourbon, "It's the Mikaelson bunch, yay!" She yells sarcastically.

"Come on Katrina, there must be one nice thing you can say about me," I playfully reply back.

-Flashback-

"Athena!" My brother shouts into the night. Niklaus takes a few steps towards my hiding spot. The moment I got out of the castle he'd known I was gone, "Athena, come on now! If you come back now I will make your suffering less painful!" I knew of course that he was lying.

His footstep grow further and further away, and I sigh out in relief. I poke my head out from behind the rock I hide by. The forest is empty and quiet. I sprint as fast as I can to a little windmill only an hours walk from the castle, "I grew worried. I had thought something happened to you."

"It is alright. Let us go Katrina," I take her hand and we speed off into the darkness of the night.

-Flashback Ends-
-Athena-

"Well look who decided to come for a visit," Katrina pulls Stefan out from behind the wall.

"You just keep popping up. Don't you?" Klaus says though I can't tell if he's amused or annoyed.

"I need your help, for my brother," Stefan says quietly.

"What happened? Is he alright?" I ask frantically.

"Whatever it is, it's going to have to wait a tick. You see I have an obligation to my siblings," He gestures to Elijah and I patiently waiting, "It requires my immediate attention."

Niklaus disappears into another room and Elijah approaches Stefan, "You understand how important family is, if not you wouldn't be here. Niklaus made a promise to reunite us with our siblings. He gave us his word."

"And so I shall," Nik reappears with a silver dagger in his hand, "Now I only have one of these, so we'll have to compromise. The last one is sitting in a location only I know."

                    "Nik..." I lowly warn.

"Who shall it be? Maybe you little sister. After all you've hated me since that day 500 years ago. Maybe it should be Elijah. He did break the sacred bond of brotherhood, and tried to kill me."

                      "Oh please," Elijah mutters.

"Alright then, Elijah it is," Nik turns to him and puts the dagger through his chest. Purple veins spread onto his face and he lays motionless on the ground.

"Now what am I going to do with you?" Nik asks and pushes Stefan into the wall. He grabs a wooden stake and pushes it into Stefan's chest, "Do you feel that? The wood barely scrapping your heart. The slightest movement and you're dead."

"He's just trying to help his family, Niklaus," I state.

"The witches said you had a cure," Stefan moans, "I'll make you a deal. Just give me the cure and I'll do whatever you want."

Klaus pulls the stake out a pours a glass of blood, "Trouble is, I don't know if you'd be any good to me now," He takes a drink, "You're just shy of useless."

"I heard about this one vampire one time. Crazy chap, always on and off the wagon. When he was off, he was magnificent. 1917, he went into Monterey and wiped out an entire migrant village. Did you hear that one 'Thena?"

"Can't say I have," I lie. Stefan was quite the party type when his humanity was off and he became the ripper.

"You should have seen him. A true ripper, didn't care about who he killed or where he killed them. Kind of like you actually," Klaus taunts.

Believe me I was no ripper, but I definitely went off the wagon a few times. I had been angry with our parents for turning us into such beasts. I took it out on the villagers and travelers we'd come by throughout the years.

"I haven't been that way in a long time," Stefan states.

"It's a shame, that's the kind of vampire I can make a deal with. That's the kind of talent I can use in this town," Klaus says, "Katrina come here."

Katrina walks up slowly and puts her hand into Klaus' extended one. His fangs appear and he bites her wrist, "No!" She yells and examines her wrist. Klaus rolls his eyes and bites into his wrist, feeding her his blood. She pulls back her sleeve and the bite is gone.

"You want your cure? There is it," Klaus gestures to her wrist.

"Your blood is the cure. Just dandy," I say sarcastically.

"Gotta love Mother Nature," Klaus says slinging his arm around Stefan's shoulder, "Now let's talk, you and I."

Klaus takes a knife and slides it up and down his hand. Blood trickles down into a small vial, "You want your cure, how about a decade long bender? You know I have big plans for you, when we leave this town."

"I'm not like that anymore," Stefan insists.

"Well that's too bad. You're missing out on a chance of a lifetime. Road trips with two originals," Klaus says and begins to pour the blood down the drain.

"Wait," Stefan says. Klaus stops pouring the blood and looks over to Stefan.

"Now that's more like it. I want you to join me for a drink," Klaus slides a blood bag over to Stefan.

Stefan looks over and me sadly and takes a sip of the bag, "Finish it. All of it."

"Niklaus, this is not alright. You're going to ruin this boys life," I warn.

"Quiet now sister. I can easily take that dagger out of Elijah and put it through your heart," Nik snaps. I bite my tongue, "You do everything I say, and I save your brothers life. That's the deal, Stefan."

Stefan finishes the blood and Klaus smiles, "Again." He passes him another bag. The ripper is born.
