Aiden POV
"Nora, we've got a problem." I say quietly.
"I figured when you sent everyone off. What's happened?" She says quietly. She always has been insightful when something is wrong.
"Somehow, when Sylar was in Max's dream and she scared him. He unknowingly turned his power on her and it not only forced her out it affected her body...in a really bad way. Will you try to do something?" I don't say anything more. I don't know anything about this. She will be able to tell more just connecting to her during the healing process than I ever could.
Nora's face still held calm and patience but her eyes shown with her fear. Every time she's called to heal someone she thinks of all those she wasn't allowed to heal. But she can do this. I know she can...we just got Sylar we can't lose her. This could break everything we have. Fate and Asher just found her...What would they do if...NO! I will not think that. Everything will be fine.
When Max returned I had him carefully lift the bed. I thought maybe I could move her but now looking at her...I'm not sure I can. Sylar is curled into a little ball in the middle of the floor. Her knees tucked into her chest. Her hands cradling her head. There is a small trail of blood down the side of her face and arm and a puddle on the floor by her head. Her eyes are open and blood shot, unseeing. Her ears are reddened and her chest is heaving for breath. All of us take a sharp intake of breath. It's worse than we could've ever imagined. She's been broken.
"We can't move her! You'll both have to move the bed somewhere else for now." Nora stated quietly but firmly. She kneels down beside Sylar. "It's bad. The kit won't help this time I'll need to use my full powers." She looked up at us. "I don't know if it will help. I don't know if I'm too late. How could this happen? This has never happened to any of us. We push people from our minds all the time!"
I hear Max start to sob. I know his grief. This has always been his fear. Hurting an innocent. Even if she scared him she didn't deserve this. But he wouldn't have been able to help it not in his dream.
Together we move the bed over. While Nora starts working. Soon we see a difference. The blood has stopped, she is no longer clutching herself in pain, she is breathing easily, and her eyes look normal. When Sylar closes her eyes and sighs in peace I think that she is still unaware of what is happening. But at least she is herself again.
I don't know how she does it but Nora has pulled off another healing. She stands up the same time the door opens to let in the others.
I would never have hidden this from them, I just didn't want them to be in the way and worry while we fixed it. Now seeing the anger and pain in their eyes I am not so sure I made the right decision. Now I see they have gotten just as attached to our new recruit as I have.
