Chapter XXV: The Reunion At The Garden

"Your Royal Highness, we welcome you aboard. Your seats are this way." The flight attendant said as Changkyun and I entered the plane.

"Thank you." I replied.

"This is one spacious plane." Changkyun said as he looked around.

"I know. It's my first time in here." I said.

"What? No way!"

"Changkyun, you of all people know I haven't been outside of Korea yet."

"Oh right. Sorry. Well, to be fair it's my first time in here as well. Not for dad though that is."

We were talking about the royal plane used by my parents and of course, the government (mostly the prime minister) when going to othe countries. It's a Korean Airlines plane retrofitted with the latest in weapons technology, radar systems and other stuff to protect its passengers. You can say it's the Korean version of Air Force One.

On this day, we're off to Paris.

Of course, it's only me, Dasom unnie, Bora unnie and Seokwon who knew of this and Changkyun didn't know anything about the plan at all. Hyunwoo, Hoseok & Minhyuk also know about my trip to Paris which also meant that Hyungwon knows.

What were his reactions?

By calling Bora unnie on her phone, Hyunwoo and I talked for at least an hour to relay to me Hyungwon's reactions.

"He said he was excited, glad, grateful and relieved enough that you're finally coming to Paris but at the same time, he clearly expressed his nervousness, anxieties and worries about it as well."

"You guys talked about this through drawing pads, didn't you?"

"Of course we did. On the otherhand, when I mentioned about you going to Paris while speaking to him on videocall, he cleverly shrugged his shoulders and said 'So what if she's coming? Why should I care anyway? I have Hayoon now.'"

"Ouch much?"

"He quickly wrote back to me saying that was all a lie and told me to tell you not to worry too much about it."

"Well he's gotten me worried about it already... much more so with his frequent dates with HER that I've been seeing in the news."

"He's also going to say that to you regarding Changkyun, you know so you guys are both fair."

"I see your point but still... And with our impending marriages coming up soon... There has to be a way to put a stop to all of this..."

"There might be one."

"What do you mean?"

"With the ascendancy of the opposition in the assembly, it's only a matter of time when they finally have the Supreme Court on their side. Once that's done, the court will overturn Hyungwon's exile and allow him to return here."

"Which also means his wedding would take place here, am I right?"

"Yes but, since both of you are here on that day, then maybe we can finally think of something to stop the weddings!"
