Minerva had left by the time every girl woke up.
Lucy was kind enough to lend everyone futons for the night so there was no need for crashing on the floor or doing an all nighter to avoid back breaking. They were made of nice material too so it was almost impossible to get up when the alarm went off.
The futon was probably just an excuse. The real reason you didn't want to get up was because the day had come so quickly. It was already time to face reality.
You had enough of reality last night.
Now you just wished the day would go by in ten seconds so you didn't have to worry about food, people, costumes, people, the play, the stupid competition, and the stupid people.
Only a select few were decent, the rest were questionable and definitely crossing the line of being absolutely terrible. You didn't have enough energy to deal with any of them today.
"Wake up sleepyhead!"
But you knew you had to.
~~~
You most certainly didn't get enough sleep.
By the time you gathered all your belongings and finished cleaning up with the girls, a head ache started setting in. Your butterflies had turned into squirrels and they were doing nothing but running around endlessly in your stomach.
You weren't in your best shape. And it seemed like Sherry knew it. She gave you shit about your appearance all morning.
"You know it's gonna be hard to beat the other girls with bags like those." She was referring to the ones under your eyes. Not the billions of bags you were carrying to school.
You stared deadpan at her and expected nothing less. "Yeah, I get it, but I don't exactly have the energy to fix my appearance right now."
She waved her painted nails around with a triumphant look. "Don't worry about it! I'll do your makeup for you before the contest."
Even if she was dissing your appearance, you were glad she cared enough to help you. "Thanks Sherry."
~~~
You were glad your class's booth was outside. It was placed with all the other booths at the front of the school so you blended in just fine.
Everyone loved the snacks so your area was a hit. It was refreshing to see smiling faces when you could've been staring at lovey dovey Yukino for an hour.
Yukino, who apparently still has feelings for your boyfriend.
If he still was your boyfriend.
"Hey girly." The last person you expected to see today was standing at your booth, deciding whether to pick the obviously best choice on the menu or the obviously worst choice.
"Eclair! What are you doing here!?" You grinned from ear to ear. You almost felt like a parent of yours was visiting. You had to contain your childish excitement since you were almost an adult now.
She smirked as she snatched a choco banana. "Just thought I'd drop in and see how you were doing. This place sure is lively. I even see some of my regulars here."
"Yeah, it's a lot more busy than I thought." You looked around and almost forgot about the co-cooker to your right.
"Oh Eclair! This is Dobengal. He and I are working together."
