The only thing that could cure an over beating heart is ice cream. It's really meant to cure a broken heart, but who says it can't heal both? You were gonna need something to calm yourself down. Sitting in your room wasn't doing any good.

You sat and stared at an open book for hours. You kept re-reading the same page over and over. Then you got to thinking about Mard and why he would just randomly profess his love to you. He didn't seem like the guy to do that so it caught you off guard.

And then there was meeting with Sting tomorrow.

You were going to sleep over at Lucy's again with everyone, but you were so drained and tired from today, you barely had the energy to make the trip.

Your energy seemed to be drained with every second you thought about boys. You were mostly worried about what you were going to do with Mard if Sting and you worked things out. You most definitely wanted to fix your relationship and Mard could be a HUGE bump in that road.

You couldn't deal with another fight between you and Sting.

But you could handle an overload of ice cream.

That meant a trip to the corner store was necessary. You knew Lyon would be working tonight. It'll be nice to see a refreshing face that doesn't want to date you or doesn't want to stab you in the back in any way shape or form.

You locked up your place and trotted on over to the corner store. On your way over you enjoyed the nice warm breeze that seemed especially comforting today. The walk was a calm one compared to app the other ones. You weren't sad, angry, you were just lost in thought.

It was relaxing -- being able to space out about weather and not worry about boys.

You honestly thought your only troubles in school would be your grades, but here you were, having relationship problems and spending the money you should be saving on ice cream.

You decided to take the long way around and ended up just walking around town. Some kids were outside running around and couples were taking a nice stroll just like you. You actually felt apart of the community this way.

You smiled at older couples passing by and waved to shop owners closing down. The sun had already set and the night sky was beginning to form with its billions of stars.

THIS was what you needed. Some gosh darn peace and easy energy.

You finally made it to the corner store and Lyon was there to welcome you with a smile and more calming energy. "What's it gonna be today?" He smirks.

You walk over to the freezers and pull out that ice cream with two sticks. You wave it around and smile back, "Just this today."

Lyon just waves. "On me. Chelia told me how crazy your day was."

Your eyes grow wide and you feel yourself beginning to rant. "That's not even the worst of it! On my walk to school, Mard freaking confessed to me and now I feel like I'm suffocating in a teen drama!"

Lyon just laughs and starts cleaning up around him. "Well, my shift change is supposed to be here soon. Wanna wait for me and you can tell me all about your day?" You look down and nod. "Well alright then."

~~~
You sat on a bench looking out at a park with Lyon. He sat with his leg on his knee and you just sat with wide open legs and a decent slouch. He was eating one half of the ice cream while you were working on the other.
"So, what are you going to do about it?" He asked regarding the Mard situation.
You shrugged and watched some of the ice cream melt down your hand. You licked it off. "I don't know. He told me to just think about it and trust me, I'd rather not."
