As Blitz opened her wings to fly, a timber wolf that had snuck around clamped down on her wing, then shook her. The sound of the bone snapping could be heard from where Sapphire stood.

The sight of her sister flashed before her. The sight of the burning building and her screams pulsed before her eyes. Then Blitz's cry for help had snapped her out of it. The wolf had torn her wing from the joint, blood gushed from the wound, and she had been thrown a little ways away.

As if taunting her, the wolf threw her wing next to her. Seeing this turned Blitz's stomach, causing her to empty it's contents. She looked up at the malicious beast, then started to cry. It hurt, and she knew she was going to die.

She looked away and closed her eyes as the creature lunged forward, going for the kill. But it never came. All she heard was a loud boom that came from it's direction. She looked back at it only to find a dark sky surrounding her. In all directions except down. She could still hear the battling from all around, but all she could see was this sky.

Sapphire wished she hadn't hesitated. She may have cost her friend her wing. She could only think of one thing. She casted it over Blitz as the wolf lunged, creating a dark magic shield over her friend. When the beast connected with the shield, it blew the wolf apart, sending flaming debris everywhere. The battling stopped and the creatures fled the fire.

Sapphire dashed over to the bubble, dissolving it as she came close. "Blitz!" She gasped, staring at the blood. She put her hoof over her friend and teleported them away, taking her wing with.

They appeared in front of her house with a flash of dark light. Exhausted from teleporting, she quickly hauled her wounded friend to her living room, shoving all of her furniture back with a gust of magic. She laid her friend on the floor, snatching up the white book from the satchel on the table.

She quickly shuffled through the pages until she reached the spell she needed. She read it aloud, pressing Blitz's wing to it's socket, starting the healing process.

The procedure took about five minutes, and she wrapped her wing so that it was straight and in the correct position. Then she laid on the couch as her friend slept due to the sleeping spell.

"I hope I did the right thing..."  She said quietly.

'You did. I hope the wing sets right.' Ruby chimed in.

"I do too." Sapphire whispered.

'Get some sleep, sis. You are gonna need it.'

"Will do." Sapphire said as she laid her head down and closed her eyes.

Sapphire awoke to a sound in the kitchen. She glanced around, and found that Blitz was still on the floor. Suddenly very awake, she silently got off of the couch and creeped over to the kitchen. She peered inside to find Zecora mixing something together.

"You are awake I see, so soon in the hours wee." Zecora turned and smiled.

"Yeah.. what are you doing?" Sapphire asked.

"Collected from the rain, for your friend's pain." She said, handing over the cup.

"Thank you, really." Sapphire said thankfully.

"No need to thank me, it is for a friend, see?" Zecora smiled then left.

'That was weird.' Ruby stated.

"You are right." Sapphire muttered. She looked down at the orange liquid that stood in the clear cup. What should she tell Blitz?

She snapped out of it as she heard a groan as Blitz woke up in the other room. She quickly entered the room to tend to her friend. "I have something for you. It will help the pain, trust me." Sapphire said. She didn't really know if it would help, but she trusted Zecora enough to know that she wouldn't lie.
