Chapter 8 (Part 1/2)

"Hey it's okay your gonna help me and so is God he brought me back to you Lauren. Now he wants you to save my life so we can do this together Mi Amor. She kissed my forehead and I knew it was gonna get better I knew we we're gonna fight this but the only question was how long will it take....

As I was standing up I seen Lucy at the door. Oh shit perfect thanks a lot. She just stood there for a few seconds and then turned around a walked away. I started following her and I pulled her by her arm to stop her. She turned around...

"How long has she been here" she asked snatching her arm out of my grasp.

"A few weeks I was gonna tell you but I didn't because she's a patient here and I can't exactly give out information. I said

"So what Lauren you hide it and act like that isn't your first love in there dying! Lucy said raising her voice. I pulled her into the staircase.

"Don't say that she's not dying she's gonna get better I'm gonna fix her. I said

"Oh yeah Lauren like you fixed that little girl or your mo... Lucy stopped because she knew what she just said wasn't something you can take back
"Laur I didn't.. I cut cut her off putting my hand up in the air signaling for her to stop

"You had no damn right to bring that little girl or my mother into this you weren't here for me when that shit happened Lucia. You had no idea how much pain I was in to see that little girl parents breaking down crying so damn hard her face nearly turned blue. My mother fought the best she could you weren't holding my hand like my friends were during her chemo so don't you dare bring those things up you have no clue about. Now you can leave and take your shit out of my house because right now I can't even stand to look at you. I said with anger cascading through my voice

Lauren I.. Lucy only manages to get that much out before I walked away I just couldn't believe she said that. She was sick Camz was sick. But she wasn't gonna die I wasn't gonna let that happen.

"Hey Lo what happened with Lucy? Mani said. Camila and Dinah we're engaged in a conversation probably more catching up.

"I told her to leave. She uhh. She brought my mom into this and said some things that really hurt. Mani just grabbed me and hugged me and said it was gonna be alright and I knew it was so I just brushed it off.

"Are you okay Lauren. Camila asked because she seen the hurt in my eyes.

"Yeah I'm fine but I think it's time for your chemo and radiation. I said walking over to her "Are you ready?

"Yes I am. She said with a smile but I knew she was nervous I knew that she had faith I could help her but I don't think she believed she could make it.

"Okay Mani and Dinah thanks for coming you guys can come back tomorrow if you want but this one needs to get her treatment then some rest" I said hugging both of them

"Okay well we love you Chancho I'll see you tomorrow okay. Dinah said kissing her best friend on top of the head.

"Okay Dj see you tomorrow" Camz said while I was rolling the wheelchair to the chemotherapy room. Waving one last time at Dinah and Normani before rounding the corner.

Walking into the house it was silent. I was hoping she did as I said but that wasn't the case she was sitting in the living room you could clearly see she was crying.

"I thought I told you to go Lucy" I said scoffing.

"I know Lauren but I just wanted to apologize I'm sorry about what I said and I know you can't forgive but you can't blame me for thinking the worst she looks horrible Lauren. Lucy said
Something about what she just said got me so heated.

"Don't you think I know that Lucia! I'm not blind I clearly can see that but you did not have to bring my mom and that little girl into this! You did that to yourself Lucy. I said shouting at her.

"Okay and I know just please don't I'm sorry.. she said walking towards me

"Just get out Lucia I don't wanna talk anymore. I said turning away getting ready to head upstairs but her voice stopped me.

"So what does this mean Lauren are e getting a divorce are you that unhappy" Lucy said

"Your such a hypocrite you know. You can stop pretending like I don't know I saw you with him. At the dinner party with our family I'm not stupid so to answer your question yes we are now get out! I said walking towards her and pushing her out the door closing it behind me and walking up the stairs. I was so exhausted and worried because I didn't know what to do next. We shared a home, our life and she acted like she wasn't doing anything behind my back. I soon drifted off to sleep after the long day.

Waking up the next morning I knew today was gonna be a long day. After showering and brushing my teeth and washing my face I headed down stairs making me a pot of coffee and cooking me some breakfast. I had about an hour before I had to go to work and start deciding the best thing for Camila. I had thought about it and I knew she had been in a bed for a few weeks so I knew she missed having the sun rays hit her skin and fresh air. So I decided that's what I'd do with her and Dj and Mani. I knew our favorite spots as kids and knew it was close to the hospital so being the head doctor in charge I didn't have to ask for permission to help my patients only if it was the best thing for their recovery.

So I decided to put chapter 8 into two parts because a lot is gonna happen nothing bad I promise but you will experience a lot a hope and love in this chapter I hope you guys stick around and enjoy it because it has yet begun
