Me Before You(Camren)

Chapter 8 (Part 2/2)

Walking into work I notice everyone was extremely quite. I've been getting weird looks all day and I didn't know why. I walked to Camila's room.

"Hey Camila I.. that's all I managed to say before I seen the most hurtful sight. She was laying down on her back with tube's in her mouth and I didn't except it because she had just been fine yesterday.

"Allyson! Ally! I screamed. She ran into Camila's room and stopped.

"Oh Lauren I.. she only managed to say before I lost my shit.

"What the hell happened Allyson why didn't anyone inform me about what happened! I shouted and I knew I shouldn't have but it was Camila and she was my patient. It was my job to take care of her and I promised her I would do everything in my power to do so.

"Lauren calm down. Last night when you left about a few hours later her monitor went off her heart was giving out and her lungs were collapsing. She start going into a coma. We did the best we could to stop it but it failed. She a fighter you know everyone thought she was gonna die. But she sould be up soon Lauren you just have to be patient.

"Allyson... She was my patient and no one informed me. I had things planned for her today and Dinah is gonna be heart broken when she sees this. I was supposed to be taking care of her Ally. But a I failed to do so and that's my fault. I sighed it hurt to see the love of my life this way but it was better than her being dead.

" I know Laur just wait till she wakes up. Ally rubbed my back before she walked out left me standing watching the young woman. She looked so pale and miserable. I just didn't know what to do but I knew I had to inform Normani and Dinah.

I Pulled out my phone and started dialing Mani's number. I wasn't sure they were ready to hear this and I knew it was gonna break them but I had to tell them.

"Hey Mani we need to talk". I told them everything at what Allyson told me but I wanted them to understand she was gonna be alright.

"Dinah! I heard Mani scream through the phone and I knew something wasn't right.

"Mani what's wrong! I shouted.

"Look Lo I have to go. Mani said and before I could say anything she hung up. I didn't know what was happening but I scared me to know what it was for some reason.

I've been sitting by Camz side for two hours not moving. I only moved when I had to check on my other patients. I didn't want to but they're life was in my hands too.

"Chanchoo! I hear Dinah screaming from outside the door. I get up quickly to see the commotion outside Camz room. I saw Dinah running down the hallway with security and Normani following behind. Dinah always knew how to make an entrance but this one it the best yet. I decided to help..

"Hey Dj I need you to calm down for me okay. She with me guys you can go. I said to security Normani stop with her hands on her knees breathing frantically trying to catch her breath.

"Come on she's in here I said to Dinah and Normani. Dinah reached back and grabbed Mani's hand mouthing sorry.

Entering the room Dinah fell to her knees at the sight and I couldn't blame her I had almost did the same thing. She started crying and Normani ran to her side. Holding Dinah in her arms whispering sweet thing assuring her that Camz will be okay.

Dinah sat there by Camila's side for an hour and thirty minutes. Just talking to her about how she needed her and she'd cry every now and then resting her head on Camila's shoulder.

I needed a breather though it had been a long day and it wasn't even almost over but I just had so many things on my mind and one of them was maybe I couldn't help her. But faith was all I needed to have and she'd be okay right? I thought to myself. I sat on the bench for thirty minutes just thinking on what to do. That's until I heard Normani's voice she was screaming but she was to far to hear what she was saying. As she got closer I understood.

"She's up! Camila's up! She said. I started running as fast as I could I need to get to Camila as quickly as possible. And I did and she was in fact awake. She now had the breathing tubes out her mouth and she was wear a oxygen mask because she still had trouble breathing.

"What happened she said. I explained everything to her and she just sat the starting at me I didn't know if was because of shock or what.

"You're beautiful Lauren" she said and I wasn't sure if I heard her correctly or was I just hearing things.

"Thanks Camz so are you. I said smiling down at her holding her fragile hand in mine. After all this time she still was able to make me feel so special and cared for. I knew she noticed something was up because I didn't have my wedding ring on and I knew she didn't have the guts to ask if it was her fault but I knew she wanted to. She's been eyeing my hand for a while so I spoke up...

"It's not your fault Camz if that's what you're thinking. Lucy and I we're on a different page now and she's happier with someone else who's not me I guess. But that has nothing to do with you okay so don't think that I know what you were thinking. I kissed her forehead reassuringly to let her know my words were sincere. I just hope that she go better soon because I don't want it to be like this forever.

So here's part 2 of chapter 8 I don't know if you'll like it but I've put a lot of thought into where I was going with this story. Some pointers would be nice of what you guys wanna see happen. Maybe a Camren kiss? Or something just let me know what you would like to happen with this story and I'll possibly incorporate some of you guy's ideas into the story
