They are on their third drink when the waiter comes over again.
"Sorry Miss. Pero may tanong po ang manager namin. Puede po bang patingin ng ID?"
Maine and Richard look at each other with raised eyebrows.
"Okay." Maine fishes her ID from her bra. "Ito o, driver's license."
The waiter does not touch the ID, puts both his hands at the back, and instead, just peers at the details of her birthdate. "Okay na Mam. Pasensya na po," he excuses himself quickly.
"Ginulat mo naman ang mama." Richard can't help laughing. "You're the first person I've met who keeps things in her bra."
"Hassle ang mag bag sa bar. Might as well just have cash and ID."
"So you have cash in the other cup?"
"Yes, but you're paying right?"
"Of course. You won't need that." He takes out his wallet and puts it on the table.
"Thanks."
He pauses a long time.
"Are you thinking about my breasts?"
"Anoooo?"
"Hindi nga. Your feelings are so transparent, I can practically see a thought balloon."
"I'm not thinking about your breasts. I'm thinking about the ID and cash. Parang kawawa naman sila. Mainit siguro sa loob ng bra."
