We didn't end up taking shifts. But I really should have expected that.

Lexi forced me to tell her what had happened between Jameson, Bria and me, and was mostly shocked by my indiscretion.

"Hey," I had defended. "It takes two to tango." I had told her.

She had rolled her eyes. "It takes two to get themselves in a massive mess." Which was also true.

Ten minutes later, we arrived to an empty laundry room, which was unusually freezing. Lexi instantly spotted the open window, but I was the one that moved towards it to shut out the winter storms. Lexi stared at the window for a minute, a dark shadow casting over her face. She decided to shake it off, and I decided to take her better judgement, even if she wasn't telling me what it was.

I hauled myself up on the neighbouring washing machine as Lexi loaded the other one with coloured clothing items.

"What do I do?" I complained, swinging my legs and accidentally bashing the front of the washing machine with my feet.

Lexi gave me a pointed glare before she returned to her work. "First, stop taking it out on the washing machine." I immediately stopped swinging my legs, per her request.

Then, she smiled, shutting the washing machine door and loading it with the appropriate laundry detergent.

"If you can't contain the crush," she started the wash and stood up, "crush the crush." She finished. I stared at her as she gathered her hair and threw it up into a ponytail. She seemed quite amused by my response to her advice once she had her hair up.

"What happened to asking him out on a date?" I asked.

She smiled. "Were you listening to my advice?" She asked. "'If you can't contain the crush'. And you, Sky Forest, haven't even tried."

"And you, Alexi Abbot, give the worst advice in the world." I shot at her, watching as she rolled her eyes in response before tending to the white clothing items.

"Well it's the only advice you're going to get from me—unless you want me to lie?" She asked, glancing over at me. I shook my head even though she'd already returned back to the clothes and couldn't see the action. Though, I had a feeling that she knew the answer anyway.

"Okay," I said, crossing my arms over my chest, "I'm going to test your advice giving abilities and ask for some on advice on what to do about Bria." I challenged her, raising an eyebrow as she gave me a dumbfounded expression.

"In over your head?" I asked. Okay, I was gloating.

"No, but I think you've lost yours." She shot at me. I threw her a frown in response. Lexi sighed and pushed the washing machine door shut and started the wash on the white clothing items.

"You have better things to worry about than what Bria Winters—or Lewis—thinks about you." She said, standing up and leaning back against one of the machines. She held a casual demeanour, but I knew that she was so aware that she practically covered every single millimetre of this room even though she stood in one place.
