Nerves. These are something that any average person would be feeling right now. But I'm not an average person. But that doesn't mean I'm not nervous. Of course I am. I would have to be absolutely insane not to be. I'm just better at masking it then most. I can say the same for my District partner. He doesn't seem to really have much personality or care about anything which could really be an advantage in the game. However I already have an alliance and I have to remind myself that once we are in the arena we are enemies. And if I want to live I will have to kill him. As well as everyone else here. I occupy my mind with that not so healthy thought until I feel a tap on the back and see the boy from District 9 walking off the stage. I take a deep breath and walk on stage as Caesar Flickerman calls my name. I try to stand as confident as possible knowing full well that this is my last chance to gain any sponsors. Yes my training score was outstanding. But so we're many others and this was really my chance to shine. My outfit would definitely help. It was a peasant dress almost but very beautiful. The bodice was tight and red. It showed my curves perfectly. The skirt was white and went down to the floor. My shoes were white heels but you couldn't really see them anyway. I made sure to do some twirls on the way to the chairs in the middle of the stage to make me seem more chipper. I shook hands with Caesar and sat down.
"So Alyssa welcome." "Thank you Caesar. It's a privilege to be here representing my beautiful District in the Games" I said trying to make it not sound super forced. Apparently it worked or the people in the audience were just to dumb to notice. Caesar laughed and started asking some serious questions about the games. "So Alyssa if you could design your ideal arena what would it be? Jungle? Desert? Forest?" "Well Caesar as you know I am from District 10. I feel that having something similar to home would be nice and give me a bit of an advantage so I would have to go with desert or some sort of wasteland type scenario." Caesar nodded and moved onto the next question. "Ok Alyssa last question. What weapon will you be using in the arena?" "Well I would actually like to keep it a secret. Wouldn't want to reveal the shock factor of the Games already. I have been playing around with archery a little bit in training but the weapon I intend to use will not disappoint" "Ok! Thank you Alyssa. Unfortunately that's all the time we have. We can't wait to see you in the Games tomorrow. I think I speak for everyone when I say we would like to wish you the best of luck. May the odds be ever in your favor." I thanked Caesar and walked off the stage to the audiences thunderous applause. Maybe I did just enough to gain some sponsorship and let everyone in my alliance know that I am worthy of their companionship in this game.
