It was after the war, and Lucius had been released from Askaban on good behavior, so naturally he insisted on meeting you. You thought nothing of it considering Draco spoke highly of his mother, and how much his father had changed since the Final Battle. You decided that it was worth a shot anyways, so that's what led to the two of you standing on his doorstep, hand in hand and terror hidden in your eyes.
"(Y/N), it's going to be fine. They will love you! Besides, even if they don't just know that my opinion is the only one that matters. I am your most amazing and handsome boyfriend after all." Draco was trying to keep your spirits up by teasing you, but it wasn't getting him much of the effect that he wanted. He sighed and pulled you close, teasing aside. Kissing your forehead, he lifted your chin up with his forefinger and smiled softly at you. You smiled back, when you hear the door open. You freeze, watching a tall woman with blonde hair as fair as her son's open the door, confusion written on her face when she notices the two of you, but it quickly changes to a happier expression.
"Draco! You came! I didn't expect you to return home so quickly. But, who is this young woman beside you, my son?" She smiled gently, looking between you and Draco, who nudged you gently. She ushered the two of you in, and called for Lucius, who apparently was back in the study looking at some old books for something. You sighed in relief. So far so good. Lucius made his way into the entryway, and clapped his hand on his son's shoulder warmly. Draco introduced you to his parents, pulling you to his side.
"Mum, Father, this is (Y/N), the love of my life. She wanted to meet you, and I wanted you to get to know my better half, who has made me a better man. She is kind, gentle and is not stuck up or rude in any shape or form." You blushed at the compliments, before Lucius gave a nod of approval. Inwardly, you screamed in triumph. You did it! They liked you! You two spent the entire afternoon with his parents, where they asked you questions like who were your parents, what did you want to do, what were your interests and what your intentions with their son. When it was time to leave, Narcissa and Lucius waved their goodbyes as the two of you left, happier than when you arrived. Draco turned to you and kissed you gently, eyes glinting in happiness.
"See love, that wasn't so bad. I told you it would be fine." You nodded then giggled. He cocked an eyebrow in confusion before he figured it out. Next step: telling your parents! Of course, how bad could it be?
