Once Bella had left, Gidget called a family meeting yet again.
"Everyone, we're going to Spain in two days & no one has even started packing. We need to get a move on so we're gonna do that today, alright?" Said Gidget.
"Can I bring my headphones?" Asked H.
"No," Gidget replied sarcastically, then said, "you're seventeen, it's a piece of plastic that plays music in your ears. Obviously, yes."

The family went downstairs into their basement, swatting all of the spiderwebs out of their way. They decided to split up into groups, but Carly wanted to be alone so she could pack as many of her things as possible.

H and Pearl started looking through some boxes where they kept their summer clothes. Well, at least, they hoped those were the ones they were looking through.

Meanwhile, Bob and Gidget were in another part of the basement & Bob held a huge pink torch in his hand, shining it all over Kidney. Gidget was trying to find stuff to take on holiday, but it was too dark to see anything with Bob waving around the only light in the room.
"Bob, can I get some light over here?" Gidget tried to ask politely.
"Heh. Look at Kidney!" He wasn't paying any attention to her, "I love you, Kidney!"

Gidget face palmed & continued looking.

Carly was all alone in her part of the basement.
"Daring? Are you there?" She yelled. No answer (obviously), "eh, I'll just keep looking for my true love! He's gotta be around here somewhere.."

Pearl sat down & started playing The Sims 4 on her laptop while her brother searched endlessly for clothes and other stuff.
"Uh, Pearl?" H said. No reply. "Pearl?!"
"What?" She asked.
"Aren't you gonna help me??" He asked.
"But I can't be bothered!" Moaned Pearl.
"I'm not packing all of your clothes for you!"

As H kept searching, he found a weird talking cat thing that started making puns.
"What the flip??" Yelled H.
"Hi! I'm a cat. Who the fish nuggets are you?" She said.
"Mah name's H!" He said (that was practically his catchphrase), "I expected you to say what the cat food & not fish nuggets. Why are you in our basement?"
Pearl giggled. "I like fish nuggets. I hate cat food. D'ya get me?" Replied the cat.
"Why are you holding dolls?" Asked H like the cat was a maniac. But, why would you judge him for it?
"It's a couple in love!" She chirped, "They're talking about how much they love each other!"
"What?" Pearl asked.
"That's what people do, they love each other. Tee hee!" The cat told her, sounding very happy.
"Well that's not relevant to anything we're doing, plus I don't do that, that's stupid!" Pearl replied in an annoyed tone.
"Let's just ignore her & we'll keep packing," said H.
"Yeah, okay." Pearl rolled her eyes.

The cat disappeared & the two siblings sighed with relief. Eventually, H managed to persuade his sister to join in. He pointed out that what she had been sitting on was a huge bag, clearly full of stuff. Inside was a lot of clothes, shoes, & ribbons. There was a suitcase & even smaller bags inside. Heck, H's friends' jackets were even in that bag from when they'd been over before. They did come over fairly often so it was no big deal.

Gidget got bored, & decided to go & look for her kids.
"H! Carly! Pearl!" She cried, "Where are you?"

Clearly, they heard her, & called her over. As she reached them, she noticed that Carly still wasn't there. She asked the other two where she was, so they called her over to prevent their mum from being worried. Gidget sighed, not with relief, but with annoyance that her daughter had been separated from everyone the entire time. She shrugged it off, however.

Bob shined the torch around the room and looked for his family. He saw them and skipped over. Gidget groaned as he approached.
"A-hi everybody!" He said, cheerily.
"Hi, daddy!" Replied Pearl.
"Look what they found!" Cheered Carly.
Bob gasped in excitement. "Oh my goodness! That's a lot!!" Carly nodded in agreement.

Bob smiled & Pearl joined him. Their smiles turned to laughter, & soon enough, all five of them had the giggles. Bob had extremely contagious joy, it was hard to be sad when he was around.
