The "Best" Friends: Book 1

Chapter 4 - Holiday To Spain

It was about 11:30am, and the family was already in their hotel in Spain. Each sibling was allowed one friend each, so Pearl brought her friend Tea Party, H brought his friend Jimmy (who was also both Carly and Pearl's friend too), and Carly brought her friend Emilia (who H didn't care about, but shipped her with Jimmy, as did Carly).

Pearl and Tea Party sat on one of the beds just talking about how weird their friendship was.
"Isn't it weird how we have a 3 year difference in our ages, but we're still friends?!" Tea Party stated, "I mean, you're 12 and I'm only 9!"
"I know right?" Pearl replied, "That's really weird.."

Bob sat behind them playing with Kidney, while Gidget sat next to him, thinking about life.

H, Carly, Jimmy and Emilia all sat together on a four person bunk bed. It was black and the top bunk was a double bed, and there were two bottom bunks going sideways at each side of legs from the top. I know, it sounds confusing, but really, it's not.
"So.. What do you guys wanna do?" Asked Emilia.
"Truth or-" H started but was interrupted.
"Emilia, you're so pretty.." remarked Carly, "You'd look great with Jimmy! He's so nice and sweet. And you're a vegetarian! Obviously, you must be nice too!"
"Uhh.. thanks? I guess? But I know one thing for sure," Emilia replied, "I would not look good with Jimmy. We're just friends, why can't you just understand that?" Jimmy nodded in agreement. Emilia smiled.
"Duh! Look at you two!" Carly cried, "You were literally made for each other!" She beamed with excitement, while Jimmy and Emilia gave her a look of disgust and discomfort.
"Wait, so are we all supposed to share this bed?" Jimmy asked.
"Well, I guess so.." replied H. None of them were comfortable with that thought though.

The 4 teens were planning on doing an all-nighter that night, and just had to wait for H and Carly's parents to go to sleep. But, it wasn't even 12pm yet. They had a while to wait..

After lunch..

"Ugh, I'm stuffed!" Said Pearl.
"Yeah. Me too," replied Tea Party.
"Welp, I'm going back to the hotel. Who's coming?" Asked Jimmy.
"Me, I guess," replied Emilia.
"OTP, OTP!" H bantered.
"SHUT UP!!" Both Jimmy and Emilia yelled at the same time, before walking back to the hotel together.

Everyone else went to the back of the hotel. Bob sat at the bar, getting drunk on apple juice with Kidney. Gidget sat on a sun lounger, in her swimming costume, beneath an umbrella so she could read her book in silence. Carly and H were being competitive, and seeing who could make the biggest splash when they dove into the pool. Pearl and Tea Party were swimming around and splashing each other in the pool, and they also went down the water slides and just laughed for hours.

Bob was wearing his pale yellow shirt that he always wore, but right now, it was without his jacket. He also had light brown shorts on and dark blue sandals with matching sunglasses on his head. He had a mini pair for Kidney too.

Gidget was wearing a light blue swimming costume with pastel pink floral designs all over. Around her waist, the costume had a clear blue skirt type thing made out of lace. On her feet, she wore pale blue flip-flops and on her head sat a massive, beige sun hat with a dark blue ribbon around the middle. She also had dark blue prescription sunglasses so that she could still see things clearly without being blinded by the sun. Her so-light-blonde-it-was-almost-white-hair was tied up in a high ponytail with a blue strand hanging over her face.

H was wearing his green and black swimming trunks with the same forest design that he and Carly would usually wear. His dark brown hair was swept to one side of his head as usual, although, he couldn't really undo it anyway because of the way it was cut, but it was soaking wet, so it was almost touching his left shoulder.

Carly was wearing a light pink bikini with black hearts all over, just like her pyjamas, and on her head was a massive black sun hat with a pink shoelace tied around it like a bow. Her soft pink hair was down, as it was quite a lot, but this time, it was slightly curled. She wanted to look really nice for going on holiday, so she curled it the night before. Obviously, the curls had came out, mostly. Mainly from being in the pool.

Pearl was wearing a red swimming costume with elastic black sleeves tied into a bow just like her sister's hat. The red part wasn't entirely red though. There were white splashes everywhere like someone had just dipped their paintbrush in milk and placed it in a cup of strawberry Ribena. The white blended with the red in some places, and turned into a light pink colour. Her hair was in soft curls, which was completely natural for her. Her hair colour was a cross between both of her parents' hair colours.

Tea Party wore a sky blue tankini with a skirt attached to her bottoms. It had wave designs at each edge. Her curly mint and berry hair was in two messy pigtails which made her look about 6. Not 9.

After a few hours of being in the pool, they went to get dinner. They each threw on their over-clothes that they brought for over their swimsuits. Carly phoned Emilia and told her to come downstairs with Jimmy so that they could all have dinner together in the dining area. After all, they had booked an all-inclusive holiday.

Later that night..

After a big meal, everyone went up to their hotel room to play some cards. Then, they all went to bed. Well, that's what Bob and Gidget thought at least. The six, uh.. kids I guess you could say, were all still awake until 5am the next day.

Author's Note

Hi guys! This actually only took me just over an hour to complete. My arm got really tired after writing this though. But I will push myself to write the next chapter. I wanted to make up for the previous two chapters being so short. I really enjoyed writing this, and unlike the last one, actually prefer it over the episode. Although, it's true, the episodes can be pretty boring at times..

Also, just a reminder, how do you pronounce Emilia? (I know the answer. I just wanna see if you do).
