The "Best" Friends: Book 1

Chapter 6 - The Hotel, Not The Whole Of Spain!

Panting was all that could be heard. Running was all that could be seen. Fear was all that could be felt. The police were chasing them. All of them. Somehow, the family and their friends had managed to escape jail. Even TicToc had escaped along side them. Gidget was sobbing as she ran. A single tear fell slowly down her face. Bob was laughing and he jumped a lot, and threw Kidney in the air. Tea Party was scared. TicToc wasn't, she was relieved. Relieved to finally be free from that hell. Pearl was worried. What if they got arrested again? H just ran. He wasn't the type of person to express his emotions. Carly screamed at the top of her voice, making everyone around her hear ringing. Yes, she somehow managed to pop their ears with her scream.

They ran fast enough to cause the police to lose them.

Everyone stopped running after a while to catch their breath. Then, Bob and Tea Party went at it again. They ran all the way to the hotel, while everyone else just walked.

As they approached the hotel, they saw two people sitting outside eating ice cream. It was Jimmy and Emilia. Jimmy had strawberry ice cream while Emilia had mint chocolate chip. They were both eating from cones.
"Hey lovebirds!" Chirped Carly. Emilia pinched her arm, "Ow!"
"Where were you guys?" She asked.
"Oh, we were in jail," replied Pearl, like it was no big deal.
"WHAT?!" Cried Jimmy, "WHY?!"
H sighed and said, "Well SOMEONE ordered 50 pizzas and didn't pay." He looked straight at Bob.
"Why weren't you in jail?" Asked Pearl.
"We ordered our own pizza," Emilia replied. Jimmy nodded, "And we only payed like two euros for it."
"Hey! To be fair, we got an all inclusive holiday," Bob added.
"Yeah, the HOTEL was all inclusive," Gidget retorted, "NOT THE WHOLE OF SPAIN!" Bob giggled. They had order the pizza from Dominoes. Not room service.

They went into their hotel room and decided to pack up all of their stuff, but leave out one set of clothes and one set of pyjamas each. They changed into their swimsuits and then they all went to the beach together. Pearl and Tea Party begged to go on a paddle boat, so Gidget rented one for an hour. Bob, Carly, Jimmy and Emilia went on it too. There were seven people on that boat. H just sat on a wall separating the road from the sand. TicToc just lay on the sand enjoying the sun.

Pearl went first down the slide, and almost lost her glasses in the sea. Luckily, Bob came down after her and got them for her.
"Thank you, Daddy," said Pearl. He just smiled in return.
"Me next!" Tea Party squealed. She climbed up the tall, metal ladder, and sat at the top of the slide. She grabbed the two bars next to her and threw her hands up in the air. She went round and round on the super twisty slide and eventually landed in the sea with a huge splash.

After Tea Party, went Jimmy, then Carly. Emilia sat at the top of the ladder. She was afraid of heights.
"Come on Emilia!" Carly cried.
"You can do it!" Shouted Pearl.
"I believe in you!" Jimmy yelled. He smiled and gave her a reassuring look. Emilia was filled with determination, and she just went for it. She landed with quite a small splash and the only one that got soaked from her landing was Jimmy.
"Oops. Sorry," she giggled.
"It's alright," Jimmy laughed. Soon enough, everyone was laughing, and splashing each other in the sea.

Gidget drove the boat back to the dock, and they all went back to the hotel. They got dinner at the buffet, and then went upstairs to play cards again. Afterwards, they all went to bed, and actually went to sleep next time. Bob let TicToc sleep on his suitcase. It was actually very comfortable, and Pearl gave her a dressing gown to use as a blanket. They slept in silence.

I actually had way more fun with this chapter than I expected. I know it's a bit short, but I'm running out of ideas. The episode this was based on is absolutely nothing like it! I definitely prefer this, because I can actually imagine what it looks like, but in the episode, I just imagine them sitting on a huge purple box. Which, they are.
