25 Strawberries

POV Jack

Soon I was on a small field. Sun was shining bright and you could hear a cricket. Wind was waving the weeds and soon I saw a bush of strawberries. I kneeled down on the ground and remembered that I forgot to bring a basket. “Oh well.” I lifted my shoulders and started to pick strawberries to my hoodie’s front pocket.

After I had plenty of strawberries I flew back to Arendelle. The town was filled with life when villagers did their daily routines at market. They were selling stuff like vegetables and clothing. At castle I found Elsa in our bedroom and reading a book.

“Here you go.” I emptied my pocket on the table near the book which she just finished reading.

She looked satisfied and ate one. “These are chilled!” She laughed.

My hand went through my hair. “Uh.. I’m sorry but I forgot the basket. I guess that my pocket was a little bit too cold.” I smirked.

She took my hand in her hand. “Jack, don’t worry. These are also good like this. I could say that it is nice to eat these in different ways sometimes. “ She laughed and I responded with a smile.

“I’m  glad that you’re ok with those.” She poked my nose with her finger. “Hey mister. I need some more tomorrow so don’t forget the basket then! Not frozen, fresh, strawberries are better with chocolate.”

Her act of being serious made me laugh more. She stood up and pushed me to bed. “Stop laughing Jack. I’m trying to be serious here you know!” Then her face turned from faked anger to real happiness. She kissed me and we rested on the bed.

She started to sleep so I went off to work. Even though it was middle of July some places on earth needed some frost.

I came back on dinner time. Elsa was sitting in front of the table and filling papers. When my feet touched the ground she turned around. I knew that expression too well. “Jack! Where were you? Don’t you want to be with me anymore?” Here we go again, I thought.

”I had some places that needed some frost from the one and only Jack Frost.” I tried to make a joke and smirked but she wasn’t listening. She was crying and fell to the ground on her knees.

“Your highness, the dinner is ready.” Door opened and one of the servant girls was looking inside. Quickly I waved my hand so she would leave. She nodded and wasn’t shocked even though Elsa’s power was getting out of control.

“You don’t love me!” She still was crying and I felt bad. For me this situation where ice was spreading from under her wasn’t threatening. Situation would be bad for everyone else though.

In the room a snowstorm was forming and everything was freezing. I kneeled in front of her on the floor. “Elsa, please calm down.” I whispered and placed my hand on her shoulder. It felt cool even for me. It was a fact that her powers had grown with pregnancy.

Her crying was louder. A blast of ice came from her and it shot my staff from my hand. I laughed nervously. “Hey! You just threw away my staff.  A little more power and Manny would have my staff with him in the moon.” I lifted her face up from her chin.

Her lip was twitching and her eyes were closed. Even now she looked beautiful. “Don’t cry my love. Here, let me show you how I feel about you.” My lips touched hers and I wrapped my arms around her. At first she was tense but then she started to relax. She was now answering to my kiss.

She pulled herself away from me. “I’m sorry Jack” She was looking shocked but for my relief the ice she created was melting.

“Hey, it’s ok.” I smiled and touched her face. “Maybe next time I will tell you where I go.” I laughed.

“Yeah, you should tell me!” She tried to look strict. I helped her up and suddenly she was hugging me tight.

“Whoa there! Are you trying to suffocate me?” When I asked this she told me that she loves me. My laughter turned into a smile. Situation sure was better now for my relief.

“Let’s go to eat” I held her hand for the whole way when we went downstairs. Before we left the bedroom I grabbed my staff from the floor.

“Do you think that I will lose control some day? I mean totally?” She looked at me with a concerned look.

“No you silly. Maybe everything will be the same as before after the baby is born. I mean that your powers started to grow with the pregnancy.” My hand rested on her shoulder and she gave me a small and uncertain smile.

To be honest I’m little afraid how things will go. However I’m certain that we can figure things out together. Manny will also support us for sure!
