POV Elsa
Two years has passed since our family fought with Pitch. Jackie is packing up his things at North’s place. Soon we all will go to Sofia’s wedding. She is marrying a prince from other Kingdom and will leave Arendelle. My son is now 21 years old but hasn’t aged a bit after his 18th birthday. Unlike Emma he still hasn’t become a guardian. My daughter is the Guardian of Life, Manny let her chose to become a guardian a week ago.
Emma becoming a guardian might have been the trigger why Jackie wants to stay in Arendelle after the wedding of Sofia has ended. Tomorrow is the wedding day and Jackie has promised to make eternal ice sculptures. King Kristoff also has promised a shop for him where Jackie can sell his works and live.
“Time to go!” Jack came to me and embraced me. ”You sure that things will work out?” I turn around and watch at my husband. He chuckles and pets my cheek. “Of course it will and maybe it is time for him to become more independent. Who knows, maybe that is what is needed before Manny lets him do his decision?” Jack smiled to me and the ache in my heart calm down a bit.
Now I could hear the sounds of birds chirping. Emma walked towards us, her hair was done the same way as mine, loosen French braid that reached her back. She was wearing her orange shaded dress that reminded me from autumn. Ever since she became guardian the fauna has been attached to her, this time she was followed by few singing birds. “Emma, please.. Don’t unfreeze the floor,” Jack mumbled.
Yes, Emma indeed was making the floor melt from our ice castle. Under her barefoot was rising flowers and grass when she walked forward. “Oh, I am sorry,” She looked to ground and spinned around. “I didn’t even realize,” she gulped and I noticed that the thawing ended.
I gave Emma a hug, “Don’t worry sweetie. Being a guardian gives you more strength and you do things even without realizing it.” We smiled to each other and then we heard a blast of wind coming to castle. Jackie had arrived.
“Alright, I am ready,” he said and placed a huge bag on the ground. “I see that Emma has been bringing life to the castle again,” Jackie smirked and winked his eye to Emma. Emma started to laugh, “Stop mocking me Jackie!” Jack went to his son and messed his hair, “Yeah. Listen to your sister.”
Emma glared at Jack, “Dad.. You do stuff like that always so you’re not the best to hand out advices.”
“Touch down!” Jackie laughed and pointed at his dad. Things have been a lot better since our encounter with Pitch couple of years ago. However there has been no sign of Pitch.
“Mama,” I feel a slight pull on my dress and I look down. Belle was giggling and I raised her to my arms. Her hair was naturally curly and strawberry blonde, she had green eyes that watched the world with curiousness. There is also a catch, she has fire powers and was born as a guardian. We didn’t know it back then but one day she hurt her head badly when she fell down from a chair. Emma was rushing to heal her but the deep cut healed by itself. We were all amazed. We still don’t know her center because she is too little.
We used snowglobe this time and soon we were at our old home, castle of Arendelle. Everyone seemed to be in a rush with wedding organizations. “Elsa!” I heard a yell and my sister run to give me a hug. Her face had more wrinkles than the last time I saw her. She was over 40 years old now but still beautiful. “I am so happy that you all came to Sofia’s wedding!” Anna smiled to all of us.
When our kids were on their rooms we went to have a chat late at night with Anna and Kristoff. “So, has anyone of them showed any desire to rule Arendelle?” Kristoff asked and I shook my head. “Unfortunately Emma is now a guardian and little Belle turned out to be one also,” I smile faintly to them.
Anna sighed, “Well.. Then there is only Jackie left and I am afraid that he wants to be a guardian. I hope that Arendelle won’t be left without a ruler.” I saw the sadness in Anna’s eyes and I felt a sting on my chest. “Maybe Sofia’s child will rule when the time comes?” I tried to convince both Anna and I. “Perhaps,” she whispered.
The wedding was a beautiful event. Jackie had done ice swans for Sofia since she requested it. Jackie’s ability to use eternal ice was perfect since the day was hot. Normal ice would have melted right away. I noticed that Emma showed up to the wedding with Jonathan who is also known as father time. Of course no other visitors saw him besides of our family but he was there. I smile when I watch her laughing with him, maybe she likes him. They have been really close after the incident, Emma helped Jonathan to get better back then and they have been friends ever since.
Jackie was dancing with Sofia and I felt sad since now the cousins that were once close would get separated. Sofia will start a family of her own. Jackie just gave an honoring bow to Sofia’s husband who went to them and he left them to dance. Jackie sits on a table and is playing with a fork. He seems bothered for some reason.
Suddenly I feel a tap on my shoulder. “Does mrs Frost want to dance?” I turn around and I see Jack holding his hand forward, giving me a sly smirk. “Sure,” I curtsy him and he takes me to dance floor. The people of Arendelle have lost their faith in us by the years so only Anna, Kristoff and Sofia see me and Jack. Now even Emma is not visible to the people after becoming a guardian. People believe that Jackie came here by himself, life of a half guardian must be lonely to him.
POV Jackie
The wedding ended late last night. It was fun actually but the fact that there were girls circling around me every turn I take was annoying. People had realized that now that Sofia is leaving Arendelle there are only few options left of the person who is going to be next ruler in Arendelle. It would be either me or my sister or Sofia’s offspring. I sigh when I think of the fact that Emma already is a guardian and won’t be the queen because of that. Now there is only me left and some kids who are not even born yet.
Slowly I open the door to my new shop. It isn’t big but for me it is perfect. There is a small backroom that fits a bed, and desk with chair. There is even a small bathroom and cooking area. This will be my home from now on.
I spoke with uncle Kristoff who gave me this opportunity. Now I will be the so called “glass maker” of Arendelle. Well, my works won’t be from glass but from eternal ice which is not cold and will never melt. People won’t know the difference as I figured out with uncle Kristoff.
I wipe the dust off from furniture and I start to create my first objects to sell. After the shelves are filled with eternal ice figures and vases I go outside with a sign that I just painted.
“Frosty Glass Designs,” I read out loud after I have hang it on top of my new store. I feel happy actually and being on my own seems like a good option now.
