Snowy Days (Draco x Girl Reader)

Hey guys so this chapter is all in Draco's POV during Christmas break in 3rd year. Hope you enjoy!

Draco's POV

Today was another boring day in the Slytherin common room. Mostly everyone went home for Christmas. Crabbe and Goyle's parents told them they had to come home for Christmas, so I'm here by myself, well except for Y/N. When we were sorted she was put in Slytherin, but she's a muggle born. No one in Slytherin likes her because she's a muggleborn, but it doesn't help that she hangs out with the Gryffindor trio. Honestly, she's the reason I believe the sorting hat could put someone in the wrong house.

I get up from the couch by the fire, grab my jacket and put my Slytherin house scarf on, and head toward the door. I step out of the common room and start walking around Hogwarts trying to find something to do. As I walk by the library I see the Gryffindor trio inside talking. I keep walking not wanting to argue with Potter at the moment, though on any other occasion I would love it.
I eventually find myself walking outside of the castle in the snow. I put my jacket on and continue to walk around. Suddenly, I hear someone singing a song, a girl. I follow the voice, curious, and I wind up by the Black Lake. I can't see her face as I'm pretty far off, but I can see her sitting against a tree, wearing a jacket, hat, gloves, and a Slytherin scarf. Wait a second the only girl from Slytherin here over the break is Y/N. I'm snapped back from my thoughts by her singing, but its not a song I've ever heard before.

(Side note I wrote this song myself, you can make any tune to go with it.)

Y/N looked like she wanted to cry. I feel kind of sorry for her, but at the same time I know I shouldn't. Then the devil and angel in my mind start arguing about what I should do. Talk to her, she needs a friend. Are you joking? She's a filthy mudblood! Did I also mention she hangs out with Potter, Granger, and Weasley?! You should apologize to her, maybe she'll forgive you. Don't you dare Malfoy! Don't sink so low that you even feel sympathy for her! Don't listen to him Draco. The right thing to do is talk to her and apologize to her, it'll be her part to forgive you, which may take some time. Screw doing the right thing!! Why would you even say sorry if you know they may not forgive you? It's humiliating! "Shut up, both of you!" I whisper shout. I eventually decide to talk to her.

I walk over to where she is sitting and see that her eyes are closed and she is breathing deeply. I stop a few steps beside her and look out at the lake. "Malfoy?" I look over and see Y/N looking at me with a curious look in her eyes. "Yeah?" "Why are you here? I thought you despised me." "Well, I was bored and everyone else I despise, but you are a Slytherin, so I don't completely despise you." I could have swore I saw Y/N smile a bit. "Well, you're welcome to join me." she says turning back to the lake. I stay still for a second before awkwardly sitting down beside her. "It's pretty isn't it?" she says turning to me "Huh?" "The lake." "Oh, yeah. Uh... which class is you're favorite?" Y/N silently laughs. "What's so funny L/N?!" "I-I'm so-orry! It's-s just that the 'Prince of Slytherin' who I thought despised me, is trying to make small talk!" she says while laughing. "Oh shut up! I'm being serious." "Okay, okay! I guess Care of Magical Creatures." "You like the class that that idiot teaches?" "For your information, Hagrid is awesome, he actually is nice to people, maybe he can give you lessons." "I don't need to be nice and I certainly don't need lessons from that idiot." I say with a scowl. "Sure Draco." she says as she rolls her eyes. "I challenge you to a duel." I say furious. "I accept." she says smirking.

We walk over to a large piece of land with nothing on it than we stand across from each other. "Good luck, L/N." "Don't need it." We put our wands in front of our faces, slightly bow, turn around and walk forwards a few steps. "You better not start on 2 or I will end you Malfoy." "3" "2" "1" We face each other and point our wands at each other. "Partificus Totalis!" we both say at the same time. Bloody hell. We both fall on the ground and can't move. Dang you Y/N.

We weren't rescued until Potter, Granger, and Weasley came running toward us, probably after seeing us have a duel from one of the windows in the library. "Y/N are you okay?" Potter asks rushing over to her, Granger and Weasley come shortly after. "Bloody hell it's the same spell you used on Neville, Hermione." "Don't worry I know the counter spell Ron." Granger says a few words and L/N is back to normal. "Ron, Hermione, what should we do with Malfoy?" Potter says pointing to me. "I say leave him out here to die in the cold." he says scowling at me. Y/N punches him in the arm and scolds him. "Don't make me hex you Ron!" "Okay, okay, fine!" Potter laughs at them while Granger rolls her eyes. "Hermione can you please help him?" "Fine, but only because you asked me Y/N." Granger walks over to me with Y/N and says the counter spell. "It's about time Granger." I say. Y/N punches me in the arm and gives me a glare, which I return. "A thank you would have been nice Malfoy." Granger says. "I'm good but thanks for the concern." Y/N whispers something to Granger and Granger smiles than walks over whispering something to Potter and he gives her something which she than gives Y/n with a wink. I watch confused as the trio walks away. Y/N walks back over to me. "You really need to work on manners." she says glaring at me. "Don't intend to anytime soon." I say smirking at her. "Draco, turn around for a second." "What no!" "Turn around!" "NO!" "TURN AROUND!!" "Fine, you bloody banshee!" I turn around. Why the hex would I need to turn around. "Okay you can look now." I can hear the smirk in her voice. "Why would you want me t-" when I turned around she was gone. "L/N? L/N?" I frantically look for her. "Very funny L/N." I look around and sigh. "Boo!" Y/N's floating head appears in front of me. "Bloody hell?!?" I say as I fall over. I can hear Y/n laughing hysterically but I can't see her. "Serves you right Malfoy! See you later!" I than hear footsteps running from away from me but the only thing I see is footprints appearing in the snow.

I actually think the sorting hat put Y/N in the right house now.That girl is so bloody annoying, but why do I feel happy when I think about her now. L/N get out of my head!
