Life Saver (Fred x Reader) SAD!

WARNING THIS IS AN EXTEMELY SAD ONE SHOT! DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T ENJOY SAD ONE SHOTS! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

This was originally for a request but they wanted the reader to be a Slytherin and I thought I made more sense if the reader was a Gryffindor. I'm sorry @April_loves_MPHFPC but I'm going to write another one shot for you I promise.

Anyway, this takes place during the battle at Hogwarts. You might want some tissues.

Today is another day of fear and worry. Me and Fred had gotten married a few months ago and we were so happy. Now its a war before our eyes and people are dying. At the moment students from Hogwarts and Death Eaters are fighting with no sign of stopping. I haven't seen Fred in a few hours so I just pray that he's okay. I already know a few of my best friends who I graduated with have died by the hands of these Death Eaters.

A Death Eater comes at me determined to kill me, I can see it in her eyes. "Expelliarmus!" she shouts at me. I move out of the way just in time. "Crucio!" she shouts at me as I dive out of the way. "Avada kedavra!" I shout at her. The Death eater drops to the ground dead. I decide that I can't wait any longer and start searching for Fred. As I'm running and dodging from spells I see Neville, Hermione, and many other of my friends still alive and fighting. However, I also see many friends dead. Seeing people from all of the houses dead made me want wake up to stop this nightmare.

After rounding a corner I see Percy and Fred outside of the room of requirement fighting a Death Eater. As the Death Eater was about to cast a spell at Fred I ran and shouted at him. "Step away from my husband you son of a b***h!" Fred had a smirk on his face and when the Death Eater faced me I pointed my wand at him. "Avada kedavra!" He dropped to the ground dead. "FRED AND PERCY WEASLEY YOU GET YOU BUTTS OVER HERE!" I shout with my voice cracking while tears threaten to spill from my eyes. The two Weasley run up to me and engulf me in a hug as I cry a little bit. "Thank Merlin you two are okay!" I hug Percy and he hugs back. "Hey, what about me?" I turn to Fred. "I was saving the best for last you idiot!" I engulf him in a hug to which he returns then I give him a loving kiss. "Don't you ever scare me like that again, I thought you died." "I'm not going anywhere love." Then an explosion goes off and Fred hugs me to protect me and Percy shields his eyes. "That would have been you Fred." Percy says as his eyes widen with shock. "I guess you saved me twice Y/N." Fred says smirking. We walk back to the Great Hall. We see all of the Weasleys and George had a death grip on Fred. "We heard there was an explosion and I thought you might have died." "I would have if Y/N hadn't saved me." Then George ran to me and gave me a death grip. "Thank you so much for saving my brother." "Don't worry, I'm not letting anything happen to him."

After hugging George, Hermione came up to me and dragged to a corner so no one could hear us. "Y/N you really shouldn't be here its dangerous." " Hermione I am staying here and fighting and you can't stop me." "I know but I wish you would listen. Have you told Fred yet?" "No, he wouldn't have let me come if he knew and I was planning on telling him once all of this is over." "I just pray it will all be okay once this stupid war is over." "Don't worry 'Mione, if any one can do it we can." "You know Fred's gonna kill you once you tell him right?" "Yeah, but I'll be fine, I promise. Madam Pomfrey casted a spell on me so as long as I'm alive nothing bad can happen. " I hug Hermione one last time then we return to the group.

Time Skip

Me and Fred are sticking together so we can protect each other. Right now we are battling two Death Eaters. "Avada kedavra!" Fred shouts at one of them. "One left." I say. "Sectumsempra!" he shouts at Fred furious that he killed his ally. Fred jumps out of the way. "Crucio!" he shouts again. This time it barely hits Fred in the chest. Fred falls to the ground and starts shaking uncontrollably. "Expelliarmus!" I shout. "Avada kedavra!" The Death Eater fell died and behind him Neville with his wand pointed. I have an idea. "Neville cover me!" he nods and continues to fight of Death Eaters and soon I see Percy helping him. "Please work.." I whisper. I didn't tell anyone, not even Fred, but I created a new spell, well at least been trying to. If used to much the spell could kill you. It sends some of your energy to someone else. "Energiza transferencia!" I say pointing my wand at Fred. A golden light comes out of my wand and goes into Fred I can feel my energy fading but I continue. "Energiza transferencia!" A bigger light comes out and goes into Fred, this time he stops shaking. I am very weak at the moment but I just need to do it one more time. For Fred. "Energiza transferencia!" A large beam shouts at Fred and goes into him as he flutters his eyes open. "Y/N? Are you okay?!" he asks sitting up and looking at me with concern. "I'll be.. fine." I say as my eye lids become heavy. Then I fall to the ground and Fred cradles me in his arms. "Y/N, what did you do?" A death eater cast a spell our way and it barely brushed me draining me even more. "I gave you.. some of... my.. energy." I say as my eyes close. "Y/N? Y/N!" Fred picks me up in his arms bridal style and runs like my life depended on it, and for all I know it did. I barely open my eyes to see us in the Great Hall then I close my eyes again.

3rd Person

"Help!" Fred yells. Hermione, Harry, and the Weasley family run over to Fred and Y/N. "What is it Fred?" George asks with concern. "Its Y/N she's fading. When I was almost dead she did some sort of spell to transfer her energy to me. Then a death eater cast a spell at her. "Quick put her on a cot." Molly says worried. "What spell transfers energy?" Harry asks. "Energiza transferencia.." Hermione says under her breathe while looking away. "What was that Hermione?" Ron asks. "I said... Energiza transferencia." she says. "I've never heard of that spell." Fred says. "That's because Y/N created it." Everyone looked shocked. "How did she create a spell?! And... how do you know?" Arthur asks. "I read it in her journal by accident." "Can we please just help her?" Fred pleas. "Right, Bill get Madam Pomfrey." Molly instructs.

After helping Y/N Madam Pomfrey approaches us. "I.. I don't think she will make it." Fred starts crying and George comforts him. Madam Pomfrey walks away to leave the family to mourn. "It-Its my fault." Fred sobbed. "Fred, Y/N always did her own thing and saved others even if it meant hurting herself." Ginny said forcing a smile. "She was one of the bravest Griffindors I had ever met." Harry says. Only one person knew that a double tragedy had occurred, and that was Hermione Granger, also known as Y/N's best friend.

Fred stands up and walks over to where Y/N is and sits on his knees beside her. He reaches over and checks her pulse, which is barely there. "Why didn't you save yourself huh? Why would you save me, I can't live without you." Fred says as tears start to fall down his face. "You never did what people told you to do either." he says with a small laugh. Fred grabs Y/N's hand and rubs it with his thumb. "I love you so much and I wish we could have had more time. Maybe even start a family." By this time, tears were streaming down Fred's face. "Why did it have to be you? Why not me? WHY!" Fred grabs Y/N in his arms and holds her close to his chest. "I'll never stop loving you." Fred kisses Y/N and holds her close to his chest once again. "I love you too... Freddie." Fred looks down with his red puffy eyes at Y/N. Y/N's eyes were barely open and she was looking at Fred. "Y/N." he says at a whisper. "Don't leave me." "Please don't cry." "How can I when the love of my life is dying." he says trying to force a smile. Y/N smiles at Fred and tears start to fall from her face. "I guess... I wasn't strong.. enough." Y/N says before closing her eyes and breathing her last. "Y/N? Y/N? No, no, no, no, no. Y/N!" Fred sobbed.

Fred refused to leave Y/N's side and told the Weasleys, Harry, and Hermione to go ahead home. Everyone did except Hermione. Hermione walked over to Fred's slumped over figure that was still kneeling beside Y/N's cot. "Fred?" He didn't move. "We were going to start a family you know." he says in a hoarse voice. "Then this bloody war happened and now we can never have a family of our own." Hermione's heart broke in two at his words and tears threatened to fall. "Fred, I need to tell you something." Fred looked toward her with bloodshot eyes. "Before the battle, Y/N found out... that she..." Hermione looked away and couldn't continue because she knew Fred was already broken. "She found out what? Hermione?" Hermione looked at him again with tears streaming down her face. "She found out she... was... pregnant." Fred's eyes widened and he looked at Y/N's body. "H-How l-long?" he asked not looking away from Y/N. "T-Three w-weeks." Fred burst into tears again and hugged onto Hermione. They both cried but Fred was in worse shape. He discovered that his wife and unborn child died. Of course Hermione missed her best friend dearly but she couldn't imagine what Fred was going through.

Y/N........... known by all to be the one of the bravest Griffindors of her age.
