Peter's POV 

I was in the gymnasium doing the Captain America's training for high school with Ned. I was doing abs with Ned, Liz and her friends were talking. I heard her blonde friend laughing when Liz admitted that she had a crush on Spiderman. The blonde girl was saying that it was probably a guy in his thirties with maybe a deformed face. I rolled my eyes but I soon heard Y/N defended me I mean Spiderman. They said that it was certainly a guy about our age and he must be pretty cool. They added that he was the best Avengers according to them because he didn't just save the planet but also the neighbor. The blonde said that he wasn't an Avengers and Y/N replied that was very a shame because he deserved it more than the others, he wasn't a billionaire or a god, he was a normal guy who did his best to protect and save people, if everyone was like him the world would be a wonderful place. I felt my cheeks turned red. No one never defended Spiderman like that in front of me and I was happy to know that some people considered me like a real hero. I was even more glad since it was Y/N. last year I had a major crush on them but they iare so popular that I never really talked to them. Ned told that it was silly, I had no chance with them. then I met Liz in the decathlon and I developed a crush on them, I thought that I had more chance with her than with Y/N so I tried to forget but. But honestly sometime when I see them around I couldn't help but stare.

I was lost in my thoughts about Y/N when Ned did something that gave me murder thoughts on him. "Peter knows Spiderman" he yelled. I was as red as a beetroot, Ned wasn't supposed to speak about it, I didn't know which part of secret he didn't understand. I noticed that Y/N was smiling to me, maybe they believed me. However Flash being Flash soon did some jokes about it. he asked me how I met him and I answered that it was thanks to my Stark internship. Flash laughed really hard making fun about my so-called internship, he never believed me. I was about to say something when I heard Y/N: "Hey Flash why don't you leave Peter alone. Are you jealous of him or what? Because let's be honest you're not smart enough to get his internship." I've never been so red in my life, Y/N was defending me and they knew my name. but then they added "Peter how Spiderman is? Is he young like Liz and I think or old? Is he cute? Is he humble?". That was an awkward situation but I managed to say

_ He is rather young. I saw Y/N smiled and did an high-five with Liz. And I think that he is down on earth, I mean he is nice with everyone.

_ I was sure of that. They replied happy.

_ if you really know him why you don't ask him to come at the Liz's party tonight. Flash provoked me but I didn't really care I was pretty hurt to know that Liz was throwing a party and I wasn't invited, I thought she appreciated me.

_ Don't be silly Flash, Peter has no reasons to lie. But you can come to my party if you want, I know that you're always busy but come if you have time. Liz said and I nodded.

_ Oh Peter you should really come, you never come to any party since the beginning of the year, it would be cool if you finally party with us, you will have fun and relax. You need it you're always working. Y/N exclaimed and my heart melted.

I didn't know how Ned convinced me to go because I was so excited when Y/N told me to come but then I began to worry about the party and the fact that they would certainly ignore me because they are popular and I am a loser, they were just being nice when they told me that I should come. However Ned insisted telling me that it was our only chance to get a date with someone and finally be something else than losers. I eventually agreed to go. Aunt May drove us to Liz's house and I panicked. I shouldn't have come, May tried to reassure me and told me to have fun. As we entered in the house I spotted Liz. She came to us and said that she didn't expect us to come but she was glad that we were there. She left us when she heard someone broke something. We stood there in the middle of the party and no one came to talk to us. I was about to leave the party and changed myself into my Spiderman suit like Ned suggested because DJ Flash was making fun of me once again when Y/N saw me. She smiled and walked to me, "All of your crush talk to us tonight Peter, I think that it's thank to the hat, it makes me so confident and all the cool of it goes on you." Ned whispered to me and I chuckled.

_ hey guys I am so glad you finally came. I thought that you would stay at your home and I was a bit disappointed. Y/N stated when they reached us.

_ I had to convince Peter and it was very hard. Ned chuckled and I send him a death glare.

_ really? I am glad you succeed it! they smiled widely to him then they turned to me. Why you wouldn't come?

_ Cause... I'm not really fan of parties, I've never been to a party like that before. I was so awkward, I couldn't help myself but scratch my neck. I didn't want to stay in a corner and see you have while I was just there. I was afraid that no one would talk to us.

_ Ohh Peter... are you reassured now? They asked putting her hand on my cheek. I was so happy that we were in the dark because I swear that my cheeks turned crimson. They looked at me like they were waiting for an answer so I nodded. You wanna dance? They asked. I froze but I eventually managed to say yes.

They took my hand and let me to the dancefloor. I was really having the time of my life. I was dancing with Y/N, one of the prettiest person of the school, they seemed to enjoy my company and the icing on the cake I could see a jealous look on Flash's face.

_ You know I was afraid to be bored if you didn't come. Y/N began to say flushing a bit. Because I didn't plan to go to this party at the beginning, but when Liz...

I didn't hear the rest of the sentence, I spotted something weird outside, like a purple explosion. I think that I had a confuse look on my face because they said

_ Peter are you alright?

_ Yeah yeah I'm sorry something distracted me. What were you saying. They frowned a bit.

_ Nothing really important I was just glad you came.

_ I am glad too. I never thought that this party would be... I never finished my sentence as I noticed another purple explosion away. I'm sorry Y/N I've to go. I said quickly to them.

_ What? They asked visibly hurt. It crushed my heart to see this look on their face but duty was calling me.

_ I need to go, I've something important to do. But don't worry I'll be back soon! I promise I'll be back before the end of the party and spend the rest of the party with you if you're still okay. They nodded and I left them. but before that I kissed theircheek and she smiled slightly to me. I ran to the door and I saw Y/N joined their friend. I really hoped that I would be able to keep my promise.
