You were at a party organized by some of your best mates. Tom was there too, he was fooling around with Haz. He spotted you and made his way to you. your face lightened up when you saw his goofy smile. He kissed you softly and asked you wanted something. You shook my head in a no and kissed his cheek. Even if you were dating him for almost a year you still couldn't believe that he was all yours and in love with you. He was more famous than you and could have whoever he wanted so you never imagined that he would date a regular person like you. You were lost in your thoughts when you heard one of the girl asked:

_ I never asked you but how did you two met?

_ Through Haz he is Tom's best friend and one my best mates so we met several times at Haz's house. You replied briefly.

_How lucky you are Y/N, being Tom's partner and Haz's friend! She exclaimed and you chuckled.

_ Seeing you like that I bet that I was love at the first sight! Another girl blurted causing you and Tom to giggle.

_ That wasn't love at the first sight at all. They hated me at the beginning, they thought I was an ass and did their best to avoid me. Tom replied.

_ I didn't hate you, I just didn't appreciate you! Plus you were an ass with me! You laughed.

_ So you thought he was an ass but you dated him? one of your friends teased.

_ Yeah. I know it is weird but I had a crush on him. I did my best to avoid him because the more I was with him the more my crush grew even if he acted like a dumbass. Tom's eyes grew wide in surprise.

_ Wait?! You had a crush on me and you never told me! and you confess it during a party like it was nothing.

He was so confused that was adorable. You couldn't help yourself but laughed slightly when you saw him frowned in amazement. All your mates were laughing too, the all scene was funny for them especially the way Tom looked at you with surprise. He eventually managed to say:

_ I thought you hated me for years and I did my best to make you like me, I teased you to show that I cared about you and you told me that it was useless since you already liked me.

_ Yeah I already had a crush on you and you know what your teasing to make me love you were terrible, it was just annoying me and made me think that you didn't like me.

You both remained silent for few seconds before laughing because of the ridiculous situation. You both liked each other and didn't had the courage to confess your feelings and thought that the other hated you. To learn during a party that you could have dated him for more than a year had something comical. Deeply you were glad to know that today, It reassured you in a way. Tom have liked you for a while, it made you feel happy to know that he was already in love with you when you did all your possible to ignore him.

_ Can I ask you when you realized that your love was reciprocal? A boy who met several times said.

_ When I saved him from drowning. You replied smiling at the memories.

_ How is it even possible that you needed to rescue him?! The boy almost yelled looking amazed at Tom who was blushing. He didn't really like when you had to tell the whole story, it made him felt like a fool.

_ We used to see each other at Haz's house. Usually he used to throw me in the swimming pool and I hated that. Especially because most of the time I was fully dressed and it ruined my clothes. But he found it very funny to upset me so he did it all the time. You see I am not kidding when I said that he was an ass with me. So one day I decided to get my revenge on him. We were next to the swimming pool and I pushed him in the deep end of it. Then I heard Haz yelled at me that Tom didn't really swim well and I understood that he was probably drowning. I jumped in the water to get him out of it. When we were out of it I realized that he was unconscious. I freaked out so much. I performed a mouth-to-mouth to him. When he woke up I felt terrible, I apologized to him. I asked him if I could do something for him to prove him that I was truly sorry. He answered that actually yes I could do something: accept a date with him. I was surprised but being honest I was glad of it after all I had a crush on him. The date was perfect and it led to another one. He invited me to several dates before asking me to be his. I naturally said yes and that is probably one of the best decision of my life.

You looked at Tom who seemed awkward even more than usual when you used to tell the story. He scratched the back of his neck flushing before mumbling:

_ As you revealed me that you had a crush on me for a long time maybe I should tell you all the truth.

_ What truth?

_ I wasn't really drowning I just pretended. And I wasn't unconscious I just simulate to get a kiss from you. He mumbled looking at the ground while everybody was laughing because of this revelation.

_ Wh... What? You asked unsure.

_ I wanted to invite you to a date but I knew that you would refuse. So I talked about it with Haz and he told me that sooner or later you would push me in the water because you wanted your revenge. He told me to pretend that I was drowning and unconscious because you would felt guilty and accept to date me. You couldn't believe what you heard. Do you forgive me?

_ I should not because this plan was twisted, vicious however I am glad you did it because now we are dating. So I forgive you. You said and kissed him softly. Then you whispered in his ear: But count on me to get my revenge on you Holland.
