"That wasn't very cool, Rach. That girl's like, in her 3rd year or something." Grover scolded.
"C'mon guys! It was hilarious! Did you see her face? Priceless!" Rachel giggled.
"Seriously Rach. We're in our sixth year. We've got to stop pulling stupid stunts like this." Percy said, for the first time in his life, seriously.
"Stupid? Is that what I am now? Stupid?"
"Here they go again..." Calypso muttered.
"Of course you're not stupid Rachel. I'm just saying that these pranks we pull are now a little childish and-"
"Oh, so now I'm just a silly little child and you're all grown up and mature?! You know what?! If anything, you're the baby. Poor little Percy Jackson. Can't even keep a girlfriend for more than a month. Just whines until he gets his way every time. Do you even know how much I put up with?! How much we put up with?!" Rachel gestured towards Juniper, Grover, and Calypso.
"We put up with all your little temper tantrums about how a girl doesn't think you are the center of the universe or how you just can't seem to understand why Charms doesn't just come easily to you like everything else in your life! Swimming, making friends, being cool, all so easy for you. But guess what Jackson. Not everyone thinks you're perfect. Grover, Calypso, Juniper, and I, we know the real you. The poor insecure little baby that can't seem to stand on his own two feet without someone holding his hand. I am sick of this. You and I are OVER, Percy Jackson. You hear me? O, V, E, R, OVER. And your first relationship that's more than just a hookup is over because you can't get your crap together. We've been yelling at each other all summer like children and I'd say the mature one is the one that finally says 'Enough, I'm done with this crap.' Do you know who's saying that? It sure as hell isn't you. I'm pretty sure it's me, the girl that just dumped you. And not only are we over, but this friendship is over. Grow up, Percy Jackson and enjoy your petty little life." Rachel boarded the Hogwarts Express leaving Percy and their friends behind.
"Well, we all saw that coming," Juniper spoke up. "It was just a matter of time before one of you snapped."
"You guys have been fighting all summer. Maybe it's for the best." Grover forced a weak smile.
"Maybe. But even if we weren't meant to be, not only did I just lose my first girlfriend but my first friend." Percy stared at the train. "I can't believe she actually broke up with me.
"You do whine a lot, so I can see where she was coming from." Calypso joked. Percy turned to Calypso. "Too soon? Okay, I'll shut up."
Percy sighed. "Let's go claim a compartment before they fill up."
