Why An Iguana?

3rd person Frank POV

"Hazel, look. I love you and I'm sorry I yelled at you earlier." Nico choked out. Hazel kept on her poker face.

"Frank, I still think this whole relationship is a bad idea, but I'm not going to try to stop it. I'm sorry I yelled at you too." That's when Hazel started crying.

"Hazel?" Nico looked genuinely concerned. Frank wrapped his arm around her.

"I-I love you too Nico! I'm sorry we ever got into a fight!" Hazel hugged Nico. "Group hug!" 

"No, Hazel. You know I hate-" Hazel pulled the three of them into a hug. Nico saw Will looking at them. Nico mouthed Help me to him.

Nico broke free of the hug.

"No more group hugs!" Nico raised his hands in front of him.

"Fine! As long as you promise not to fight with me again!" Hazel blinked her wide, golden eyes.

"I'm not sure if I can do that, but I will promise to TRY to not fight with you again." Nico twiddled his thumbs.

"Good enough!" Hazel kissed Nico on the cheek. Nico rolled his eyes. At that moment, a strange tingling sesations flooded Frank's body and Frank turned into an iguana.

3rd person Annabeth POV

At the hospital wing

"What the hell just happened?!" Will asked Madam Pomfrey rather forcefully.

"I believe Frank had a transfiguration spell cast on him by the Stolls. No, I know he had a transfiguration spell cast on him by the Stolls." Madam Pomfrey stared down at Frank, who was sitting on a hospital bed drinking pumpkin juice. Annabeth sighed. The Stolls loved playing pranks. Their father was Hermes Stoll, one of the most famous Hogwarts pranksters, right next to Fred and George Weasley.

"But, why an iguana of all things?" Reyna asked looking over at Frank, who still had a bit of a greenish tint to his skin.

"You should ask Conner and Travis Stoll that." Madam Pomfrey wiped her hands on a white cloth. "Make sure he finishes that pumpkin juice. I'll be back in a minute." Annabeth walked over to Piper.

"What were you about to say right before you got interrupted by Frank's sudden transformation?" Annabeth followed Piper's gaze over to the rest of the group. Hazel was sitting next to Frank on the hospital bed, Jason was sitting at the foot of the bed, Nico was holding Hazel's hand, Reyna and Rachel were helping Madam Pomfrey with something and Percy was off trying to find the Stolls. Will was standing a little far away and he was obviously staring at someone, but Annabeth couldn't tell who.

"Promise not to tell?" Piper asked Annabeth.

"Of course. Now, what's up?" Annabeth sat down on a different hospital bed with Piper.

"Will is totally in love with Nico." Annabeth's eyes widened.

"Look! He's staring at him now!" Sure enough, Annabeth realized that it was, in fact, Nico that Will was staring at. "You can't tell though. We shouldn't force Will to out himself." Piper looked at Annabeth seriously.

"I promise I won't." Annabeth and Piper fell silent for a moment.

"Guess what, Piper?" Annabeth smiled at her friend.

"What?" 

"Percy and I kissed!" Annabeth practically squealed.

"What?! That's great! You've had a crush on him since you guys were, like, twelve!" Piper giggled.

"Shhh. And yes, it is great! We're going to Hogsmeade on Friday and we're going on a proper date then. Things have been even more awkward than usual between me and Rachel though."

"That's too bad." Piper smiled.

"Hey, guys! Frank's 'iguanacitis' has been cured!" Percy had just returned with both Stolls walking sluggishly behind him. He handed the Stolls over to Madam Pomfrey.

"It's not iguanacitis. That doesn't even exist!" Frank rolled his eyes. The group laughed. Piper and Annabeth walked back over to everyone else. 

"Let's go. We're all super late to class." Reyna chimed in.

"No. We've all missed class." Jason smirked.

"Oh well. Sounds like I've got a detention from Mr. D." Frank chuckled.
