3rd person Annabeth POV

November 7

Ever since Annabeth had been talking to Hazel about the murders, Annabeth had become more and more worried about Magnus. She hardly ever talked to him, but that didn't mean she didn't care about him. She saw him sitting in the corner of the cafeteria. The weird thing was, that he wasn't talking to his friends. He was talking to Jason and Piper! They were on their way to sit with Percy and the rest of their friends, but they had stopped to say hi to her cousin.

What's going on there?

Annabeth stood up and walked over.

"Magnus!" She called.

"Annabeth, hey!" Magnus stood up and hugged Annabeth.

"How's life?" Annabeth asked, smirking.

"Fine. Nothing unusual has happened."

"Jason, Piper. How do you know Magnus?" Annabeth asked.

"Magnus, Alex, Hearth, Blitz, and Samirah all scared away some bullies that were bothering Jason and me." Piper smiled. Her technicolor eyes shined.

"I swear, I don't have any more money!" Annabeth heard Nico's voice call from across the room, where Octavian was hovering over Nico.

"Leave this to me." Alex walked calmly over to Nico. Will had already gotten to his feet and was running towards Nico. He reached Alex and she held her hand up. She said something inaudible to Will and then continued walking to Octavian. Annabeth walked closer to hear what Alex was saying.

"Octavian, I want you to go away, and stop bothering this terribly dressed goth kid." Alex looked Nico up and down.

"And why is that, dude?" Octavian stressed the 'dude', obviously purposefully misgendering Alex who was wearing a skirt today.

"Because, I know about you little Hogsmeade excapade." Alex whispered, barely audible. Octavian's eyes widened.

"How do you-?"

"Doesn't matter. Just leave the little guy alone and no one needs to know." Alex smirked.

"Fine, Fierro." Octavian walked off to the Slytherin table.

"No need to thank me, di Angelo." Alex turned on her heels and walked back to Magnus. Nico stood there stunned. Will walked over to him and steered him back to where they were sitting.

"What was the Hogsmeade escapade?" Magnus asked.

"I said I wouldn't tell." Alex took Magnus's hand. "And snitches get stitches, Maggie." Alex smiled smugly. She pecked Magnus on the cheek.

"Annabeth! Piper! Jason!" Percy called from across the room.

"That's my boyfriend. Got to go, Magnus! See you soon?" Annabeth ran back to Percy and plopped down next to him.

"Who's that?" Percy asked.

"My cousin, Magnus." 

Percy wrapped his arm around Annabeth.

"I'm assuming the blond guy's your cousin. Not the green haired one." Percy looked at the strange group of friends Magnus had.

"Yeah. And, just so you don't make a mistake in the future, Alex is the green haired one, and the majority of the time, Alex goes by she and her."

"Got it." Percy nodded.

"That chick is scary as hell!" Nico muttered. "I could've sworn she was going to kill either me or Octavian, and frankly, I wasn't sure which! And she insulted my wardrobe! What's wrong with all black?" Nico's face was paler than usual.

"It's a little morbid..." Frank started. Nico shot him a death glare and he shut up.
