Chapter 16

One great thing about living in Maryland over the summer is the Maryland State Fair, it's good for dates, hanging out with friends, or just going for no reason.

And it rocks because it's here the entire summer so you can always go. I called Arianna and Julie and said I got off the hook for chores for the rest of the summer so we're going to the fair later.

Maybe we'll see my brother that's where he planned on taking his date tonight. I kind of figured Julie would hate if I went to the fair in sweats and a tee shirt so I put on my favorite orange halter top and some new shorts.

But then apparently someone had knocked on the door because my mom called me from the downstairs and said "Sarah can you get the door we're doing vacation stuff."

"Sure Mom it's probably just Arianna and Julie we're headed to the fair." I said as I came down the steps. "Have fun and don't be back to late." Mom said.

"Be there in a sec you guys." I said from inside as I grabbed my jacket and went out the door shutting it behind me.

But I was in too much of a rush so I ran into them; at least I thought it was them. "Oh sorry guys guess I guess I'm going too fast." I said picking my jacket up from the ground because I had dropped it running into them.

"Please it was my fault I should've gotten out your way." a guy’s voice said. "Wait you’re not my friends," I said looking up to see Cody Simpson.

"Oh my gosh." I said. "Sarah, right?" Cody asked. "Yes, what are you doing here, shouldn't you be on tour?" I asked him.

"I'm off today." Cody said smiling. "But your show last night was in Georgia, why are you all the way back up here?" I asked.

"To see you." Cody said. "What?" I asked him. "Sarah!" my friends called coming up my street because they walked here.

"Oh there are my friends; I better go well you better go." I said. "Why I'd love to meet your friends!" Cody said.

"But they would not love to meet you." I said. "Come on they can't be that bad, are they?" Cody asked. "No I guess not so if you really want to meet them come on." I said grabbing his hand and bringing him to them at the edge of my yard. OMG I can’t believe I'm holding hands with Cody Simpson.
