I am back! This chapter might make you cry (I did while writing (Not exactly, though)). I cannot update for the entire of next week. My exams have begun again and I simply cannot put that back-stage. The next update might be in August first week. I will try to finish my book by the second week of August. The song is awesome by the way. Anyway, enjoy the chapter!

The words fell deaf on her ears as she stared at the person in front of her. The passage of the mountain appeared as though it had rained blood. The final battle was merely fifteen minutes. As if that was all it took in the first place.
The moon was chasing the sun as she hid away. When some ran away from the battle, especially the one who killed Sefine, Cahira was tempted to chase them, but General Warddis' words made her think otherwise. He had captured Dawn.
The fire Estelle lit showed the face of the traitor. Perhaps, her grandmother was right. She thought Afreen's betrayal had killed her, but this woman's betrayal shattered her.
Avantika, her sister, was kneeling before her with pure hatred in her eyes. Her hands were bound back, her dress tattered. But she was not the person Cahira knew.
"Why?" she asked. Her breath began to choke her.
"Because everything was about you. Father loved you," Avantika snarled. "Mother trusted you! Added to the fact that you were the general. What was I? Another female to secure your ties with other countries? You broke me in ways you can never comprehend. You should experience the pain to understand. But how can you, when you were the one to inflict the pain?"
"That was it?" she breathed.
"You denied me many things!" she screamed. "You held a sword, while I was told to hold a needle. You wore comfortable clothes while I was forced to wear chest constricting clothes. You had the freedom to go anywhere and meet anyone, I had none! So tell me, if it was wrong for me to fight for something? You did fight for him! Why can't you accept that I was fighting for myself?"
"We thought you liked it, Avanti," Cahira said, tears threatening to spill. "You preferred a needle over a sword. You liked it. If anything, you could have just said and I would have made your wish come true. If you wanted this country, I would have gladly handed its reigns to you. Just a simple conversation would have prevented this war."
The three army looked at Cahira. Their gazes were mostly sympathy, while some were disdain.
"Like I said, you will never understand," Avantika said and lowered her gaze.
"What are we going to do?" Commander Liris asked softly.
Her heart bled before she uttered the words. Sealing the wounds, she raised her chin. "Just because she is my sister will not mean her punishment will go unnoticed. She was a traitor to the crown and she will pay." Raising her voice, she called, "Dame Estelle!"
