Miraculous Ladybug: Princess Marinette (on hiatus for now!)

Ch. 5: After The Party

Marinette let out a happy sigh, she was glad that she had finally gotten on good terms with Chloé...At least it seemed like it.

She rose to her feet slowly and dusted off her dress. A gentle smile was present on her face and she picked up the two, now empty plates.

The petite bluenette put the plates away before going to meet up with the others. Most of her other classmates and people who were invited had left due to it technically being the end of the party. 

Out of the corner of her bluebell eyes, she could see Chloé and Sabrina talking. Her smile brightened as she saw the two friends getting along again.

A happy sigh escaped her lips and she took out her her phone, checking the phone screen
4 missed calls

"Oh?" She furrowed her eyebrows and decided to see who had called her.

3 missed calls from Mama
1 missed call from Papa

She smiled gently and called her parents phone back. The phone rung for a few minutes before her mom picked up.

"Ah! Marinette!" Sabine said into the phone.

"Hi mama!" Marinette giggled softly. "You called?" She asked with a gentle smile.

"Yes." She responded. "I'm going to send a jet to come pick you up so we can finalize the details of your coronation." Sabine told her daughter.

"But, mama! What about school?" She asked, worried about what her friends would think if she just randomly disappeared.

"We already informed your teacher and your class will be invited to watch!" Her mom said happily.

"Oh god..." Marinette mumbled softly.

"We'll see you on Tuesday, dear!" She said happily.

"Y-yeah...see you then mama..." Marinette hung up the phone and let out a groan, luckily the park was almost empty so no-one besides Tikki overheard the conversation.

She sighed quietly and Tikki came out of her purse.

"Oh Marinette! Don't stress out!" Tikki placed her hand on the larger girls cheek gently.

"I'll...try not to." She muttered and Tikki sat on her shoulder.

The bluenette spent the next few hours cleaning up after the party and soon it was midnight.
A yawn escaped her lips. "Alright, now let's go home." She laughed softly and Tikki nodded.

Marinette walked home in the dark, making sure that no one could see Tikki. An uneasy feeling formed in her stomach and she heard footsteps. She turned her head, but saw nothing.

Marinette chewed on her lip and continued on her walk, continuing to check behind her to see if anyone was following. She decided to cut down an alleyway to get home quicker and could hear whispers.

Marinette continued on her way down the alley when she was confronted by two males.

"Hey there cutie." One of the males said, eying the female up and down.

Marinette quickly stepped back a bit. "H-hey..."
She muttered shakily and clenched  her fist.

"What's a pretty little thing like you doing out so late, huh?" The other male asked, stepping closer to Marinette. He lifted up her face and she shuddered.

"J-just walking home..." She mumbled softly and pushed him away. He grabbed her arm and tried to drag her.

"H-hey!! Leave me alone!" She screamed out, hoping someone would hear her. The males continued to try and drag her and Tikki snuck into Marinette's back pocket.

Another man came up behind her, covering her mouth and muffling her screams.

Chat Noir jumped down from the rooftop, hearing the commotion going on.
"Hey! The lady said to leave her alone!" He said with a growl and extended his baton.

"Ha, you think you can beat us?" The first male said and took out a knife. 

"A knife? You can't beat me with a simple knife." He smirked and the man laughed.

"I'm not gonna fight you with the knife." He said and placed the knife against Marinette's throat.

"But if you take s step closer...well...haha~" A smirked formed on his face as Chat's eyes widened.
"You don't want to find out..."

Chat froze, he had to think of a plan to save Marinette. He squeezed his baton and growled, wishing Ladybug was here. 'She'd be able to come up with a plan' He thought quietly.

'All I really need to do is get rid of that first guy...but I have to be careful...' He reminded himself.

"Make your move Catboy!" Snarled the male behind Marinette.

Chat smirked and spun, quickly throwing his baton at the male with the knife.

The mans reflexes caused him to try and protect himself and he dropped the knife. Chat Noir sent a kick flying into his chest and he smashed into the alley wall.

Once she didn't feel the knife on her neck anymore, she quickly kicked the guy behind her, flipping him over and on to the ground.

Chat Noir scooped the girl in his arms, grabbed his baton and jumped up onto the roof of a building as the other male tried to chase them.

"You okay, princess?" He asked and brushed her hair back.

"Yeah, thanks to you!" She smiled and hugged Chat tightly.

A smile grazed Chat's face and he slowly wrapped his arms around the smaller female.
"Of course. I couldn't stand there and let them take advantage of my princess."

He told her and she chuckled.
"So I'm your princess now?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Mhm! My princess!" He teased her and kissed her hand playfully.

She blushed gently. "I thought you loved Ladybug?" Marinette raised an eyebrow.

"That is true." He chuckled softly. "But there's nothing wrong with being a gentleman." He smiled.
"Now what happened?" He asked her curiously.

"I was walking home from my party and I decided to cut down the alleyway so I could get home. The guys back there came up to me and started talking before they grabbed me." She began explaining to him and he nodded.

"Alright, well, I'll take you home so nothing like this happens again." He scooped her up and began running back to her home. Chat landed on the roof of the bakery and let her down.

"Thanks a lot, Chat." Marinette smiled.

"Of course, princess." He chuckled softly. "See you around!" Chat waved before jumping off the roof.

"Bye!" She chuckled and headed inside through the door on her roof.

Marinette let out a yawn and quickly changed her clothes. She gave Tikki a cookie and hopped in bed.

"Night, Tikki..." She mumbled tiredly.
"Goodnight Marinette!" Tikki said and slept on the counter.
