Today is the first day of school so I have the chance to make a good first impression. Some of these teens at Kingsland High have probably known eachother since kindergarten and their first impression might not be as pretty as mine. Picking their noses at the age of five is defiantly not how I plan my first impression of the students.
I seriously have no idea what the dress code is like so I guess I'll just wear something cute, but something I actually like. I have a big tote bag that has all my stuff in it, pencils, books, spray, make-up...EVERYTHING. It is so heavy I think my arm might just fall off soon, hopefully they have big lockers there. At my old school they didn't have ANY lockers so if this has lockers that would be a huge improvement.
I walked to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. My hair looks like a birds nest. I quickly took off my clothes and got into the shower to quickly wash myself. Once I finished I wrapped my hair into a towel turban and put a towel around me. I brushed my teeth and then gave a quick smile before heading back into my room.
I quickly dried my hair so I won't have wet hair for school, the only problem is my hair gets REALLY frizzy, it's unbelievable. ''Urgh I'm gonna have to straighten this mess.'' I sigh and then turn my straightners on. The only thing about straightners is they take their time to heat up and I am not the most patient person in the world. Probably the worst...
Finally the straightners turned on and straightened my hair until no strand was crazy out of place and it looked pretty good, for once.
I then walk into my wadrobe and run my finger across all my clothes lined up. I bit my lip as I tried my hardest to decide what to wear, so many clothes and I have no idea what to wear. Why didn't I just plan this the night before. I finally came face to face with a stripey skirt and it looked perfect. I didn't even know I had this...
I matched the skirt with a black tank crop top and a dark blue denim jacket. I then got my studded black converse (A/N Outfit on the side) and I put my hair into a ponytail and clipped the bow onto the place where my hairband was. I found a black braclet that my Dad got me. I remember he went to France and I asked for a new braclet, I used to be obsessed with braclets. I literally had hundreds of them, but my mom insisted I got rid of some so I only have a few now. I kept the ones that meant something to me.
I walk over the the mirror to examine myself and smile. All I have to do now is do my make-up. I might actually make it to school on time! I take a seat on my make-up stand and open my make-up bag. I put on eyeliner, mascara, coral blush and nude lipstick.
''Lacey, breakfasts ready!'' Samantha called up. Just in time! I quickly put my lipstick into my bag so I can just touch up on it throughout the school day and then run downstairs with my bag in my hand. I walk into the large dining room and sit down at one end of the table. I see a plate that looks tiny on the table sitting there. I look down at what I have and see that it is pancakes with strawberries and cream. How did she know this was my favourite?!
I dig into my pancake like a dog and in a matter of seconds it's all gone. ''Would you like any more.'' Samantha looks amused by how fast I could actually eat that pancake, maybe I'll get a guiness world record!
''Yes please!'' I eagerly say causing Samantha to laugh. She then brings in two more pancakes and I can feel myself about to dribble. How can someone make such delicious pancakes? I need to learn this witchcraft!
''What time do you have to be at school?'' Samantha asks while I'm stuffing my face full of pancakes, I get some sugar and sprinkle it over the pancake and stuff my mouth some more.
''8:30.'' I say through mouthfuls. Very ladylike Lacey, you don't eat like a man at all. Brought up by a single mom and she didn't even teach me how to eat properly, well done mom!
