Trece
Breathe in, breathe out. Deep breathes Lacey everything is going to be alright. What could go wrong? Another injury? I've already had enough in my lifetime. No pain, no game, right? This isn't working.
Don't ever make me your coach, word of advice there for you. If you couldn't tell already I'm sitting in the gym on the benches waiting for my name to be called out to do my little dance in front of every single person here. Most of the girls here look all confident and like they have had years practice waiting for this one day that they would audition to proudly stand for their school. I think I'm the only one who has my hands in my head looking at the floor like I'm about to be sick.
The girls all expect me to be amazing too and that is what's making this whole situation so much harder than it actually is. Like come on, you can't be good at everything and they expect me to. Basically the whole school is rooting for me cause of the little group I'm considered to be in and no girl in the 'Popular' group has never ever not been in the cheerleading group. Maybe I should just join the marching band, yeah I'm much better at playing instruments and that would mean I will be at all the games supporting them, just not in a very pretty outfit compared to the cheerleading dresses.
Hannah is sitting next to me, she isn't really paying much attention to me right now to be honest. She's a little bit too hyped for her audition and how it would be if she got onto the team. Me and her are basically guaranteed a spot even if we're not good. Mainly because Lindsey is the Captain and the coach has nothing to do with who she picks. I just hope she doesn't pick me just for being friends and actually picks someone good.
''Are you alright?'' Hannah says down to me, finally taking into account that I look like a pile of poo and that I really don't want to be here.
''Yeah, I'm fine. Just got a little bit of a headache, but other than that alls good.'' I lie just to make her feel a bit better. I don't want her to know that I actually don't want to do the cheerleading, I did sign up and if I say 'Oh I don't even want to be here' then I'll look like a right twat. Who signs up for something they don't even want to do? Oh...me.
''Our audition is soon. Are you excited? I think everyone here is buzzing and right now I could just get up and cartwheel right to the centre of the gym. Oh my god! What are you dancing to? What are you going to do in your routine?'' Yes Hannah right now sounds really annoying and I really want to shove my sock in her mouth to shut her up, but she's a nice person and I'm nott that rude.
''I'm buzzing.'' I say with a bit too much sarcasm running in my tone than I expected to. Hannah raises a brow at me and I smile widely, ''I'm gonna be dancing to Don't Stop, by 5 Seconds of Summer. Mainly because I love the boys, but the song just gets my pumping! Don't you agree? Also I'm gonna attempt some cartwheels and stuff. I really plan to just do basic dance moves, but add a few dare devil tricks here and there, right?'' I say with my over excited voice and my oh so wide smile.
''Oh my god! I love 5SOS. I think Ashton is the hottest, urgh, god help that guy with his looks. Who's your favourite?'' Hannah puts her head in her hand looking at me with a giant smile. I feel kind of intimidated right now.
''I like Luke, I think his piercings are just amazing and the flannels he wears are just perfection! I wish he came to this school, oh my god imagine that.'' I'm still acting, yes I think I might try out for drama club, acting has gotten a little too easy lately and I know what that problem is.
''Oh my god! I know right, don't even get me thinking about meeting them, I'd probably like...faint!'' Hannah is in fangirl mode right now so I'm just gonna slowly move out of this conversation before she starts drooling on me.
