Today is the 4th of July which means partying and fireworks.

I get ready for the day and head down to the beach with Jake and Kade. I decide to sun bake so I can get a nice glowing tan before I jump in the water. The water is nice and refreshing.

As we're sitting on the beach I hear a loud bang and when I turn around I see Logan, Brennan and Evan running towards us with fireworks. I scream and start running away with Jake and Kade but they decide to go a different way so I'm stuck alone with fireworks being thrown at us.

One of the fireworks hits my back and another hits my arm and I cry out in pain. I feel like I'm on fire when suddenly I everything becomes blurry and my hearing is muffled, soon after I blackout from running, being hit, being scared and because of the smoke.

I don't remember anything else but when I wake up I'm in a Hostpital bed with a bandage around my arm and back. I'm also hooked up to a heart monitor and all this hospital equipment. I look around the room and I can't see anyone, I'm all alone.

"Erika your wake, I'm so sorry" Logan comes into the room along with Jake."Logan can you leave for a moment" Jake says angrily and Logan walks out. "Babe I'm so glad your okay" Jake says relieved "yeah, what happened?" I ask, I can only remember bits of it. "Logan threw fireworks at you and you blacked out" Jake says stiffening and I nod my head trying to remember the rest. "Thank you for being here" I say grabbing Jakes hand and he offers a small smile.

"Soon you'll be able to leave and we can go home if you want" Jake says and I nod, feeling tired I close my eyes and drift off to sleep.
