17. Together isn't Forever

Today Jake is still ignoring me and I don't know what to do, like are we still together or ??

I'm so tired of being given the cold shoulder and I really want to talk to Jake about it but every time I try he just walks away.

I decide that moping around all day isn't going to help so I ask Tessa if she wants to go to the gym.

After a long workout I feel better. "Hey do you want to get some fro yo?" Tessa asks me while walking towards her car "yeah, sure" I smile and nod. As we're driving I get a text.

Jake: Where are you?

Me: Out with Tessa, why?

Jake: We need to talk

Me: Okay, I'll be home soon

That's the first time I've actually received something from Jake since Miami.

I walk inside to find Jake sitting on my bed in my room. "Hey" I say with a small smile but Jake's expression is emotionless. "I don't know how to say this" Jake stutters, I can see hurt in his eyes "I think I need some time to think about everything that has been happening" Jake says quickly "What do you mean?" I ask and I feel tears in my eyes but I don't let them fall. "What I mean is I think we should pause our relationship, only for a little bit" Jake says with a tear rolling down his cheek. My heart stops and it feels like the walls are closing in on me but I'm trapped and cant move. I don't say anything just sit there shocked, "I'm sorry" Jake whispers and he walks out of my room.

I burst into tears, why is this happening? What did I do? after everything we've been through he's just going to walk away? and the worst part is I still have to go on and pretend everything is fine, and when I see him I have to pretend like I don't care when I truly do, I love him.

Omg I'm crying, you guys asked for it so I updated today because I felt bad for you guys even though this chapter is worse. I'll update soon and sorry its a short chapter, I've been really busy lately. What do you think will happen between them? Will Jake realize what he has lost?
