I sauntered through the door and was instantly met by a barrage of whistles and cat calls.
"Abby! Is that you?" Axl rushed to my side, practically drooling on my shoes.
"Sure is," I giggled.
Slash came up to me and stared me up and down, doing a full circle around me. "Damn, girl. You clean up well!"
I leaned against Slash, my nails digging into his bare chest and smirked. "Thanks."
"Wow. Since when did you start stealing from my closet?" I jerked my head in Jasey's direction. She had a smile on her face but her eyes were flashing with something I'd never seen from her before. Not directed at me, anyway. I gave her an innocent smile, but inside I knew that I'd won. After all, I'd seen that look before and I knew that this was the first time Jasey had ever been jealous of me.
"I just bought these," I motioned towards my outfit. "Duff helped me pick them out."
Slash and Axl gave him a look and he shrugged, blushed, and turned away to disappear into the kitchen area.
"Well," Jasey's eyes crept over me, "it looks good on you."
"Thanks, hun."
I trudged into the bedroom area, leaving the two men and Jasey behind me. Steven was sitting up in bed and watching TV while Izzy was strumming lazily on a guitar on the window ledge. Steven did a double take when he saw me.
"Abby?" He croaked.
"Hey, Stevie," I winked and waved at him.
Izzy looked up from his perch and stopped strumming. The corner of his mouth twitched slightly when he saw me, but besides that, I'd gotten no reaction from him.
"Jesus!" Steven cried out, his lips parting into a smile. "You look rad!"
I chuckled appreciatively and ducked my head so I could hide behind my hair. "Thanks. Duff helped me out."
Steven nodded. "You look good, Abby."
I stole a glance in Izzy's direction. He was still looking at me, but he showed no signs of saying anything.
Whatever, I thought, I can't break down. He has to come to me.
Taking advantage of the fact that he was watching me, I bent over and pretended to search through my shopping bags for something. I felt the breeze as it floated up my skirt and I knew that most of my butt was showing.
When I straightened myself back up and peeked back at him, I saw that he had looked away, but his usually pale face was completely flustered.
Gotcha'.
After headlining multiple dates in America, it was only in Alabama when things really kicked up.
"Guess who we are opening for?" Duff pinched my cheek and said to me in a sing-song voice. I laughed and slapped his hand away.
"Who?"
"Mötley Crüe!" Duff cheered.
"You're fucking kidding!" Jasey leapt into the conversation.
"Nope," Duff looked extremely pleased with himself.
"Oh my god!" She squealed. "Nikki Sixx! This is my chance!"
I groaned and rolled my eyes.
As Jasey hurried away to squeal over Nikki to the rest of the band, Duff sat down beside me at the table and rested his arm around my shoulders, pulling me into his chest.
"What's wrong, girly?"
I nuzzled into his chest. "Izzy has hardly spoken a word to me since Europe."
"Ouch," Duff said.
I sighed. "Why couldn't I fall in love with you?"
He didn't say anything, just wrapped his other arm around me and pulled me closer to him and into a hug.
I began to think. Maybe I could use this Mötley Crüe thing to my advantage....
