Chapter 5: Sub Lord Friend!

"We were put to sleep by a Malak?" The little girl asked. "Yes. It seems that way. It didn't effect me because I'm a Normin, but it did effect all you humans." Grimoire stated. "Who would want us asleep?" Asked the blonde haired woman. "It seems as if the Malak that put you to sleep must not have been a Malak, but a Seraphim." The Normin explained. "Why would they put us asleep?" The teen girl asked, crossing her arms. The girl carried a spear on her back and looked deep in thought. "Probably has to do with both Medissa and Kamoana being Therians. They probably never expected you or I to be here." The man told the teen. "We won't be turned into a monster again, right Medissa?" The tanned little girl asked the older woman. "Even if we are turned back, I promise that all of us will be together. No matter what. So don't worry Kamoana" Medissa told her. The teen looked at them with sad eyes.

"What's wrong?" The man asked her quietly. "I didn't want to get either of them involved in this again Dyle. What do I do?" The teen asked him. Before Dyle could reply, Kamoana said "Hey Eleanor! You'll always protect us, right?" Eleanor looked at Kamoana. She didn't know how to reply. In one hand, the old Exorcist didn't want to do anything and go back to sleep. On the other, she wanted to help protect them and learn what had happened to the world. Eleanor, being the Golden Hearted warrior she is, smiled and said "You got it sweety."

Looking at them through a window, a female Seraph gave a small, evil smile. "And now, almost all the characters have been put into place. Hopefully my Lord will be happy to hear of my success." She said. And with that, she teleported away.

Sorey didn't know what to expect when he entered the ruins. He expected loads of twists and turns, but never expected there to be a bow in the middle of a room. "A Divine Artifact!" Lailah and Magilou called out. "Oh? Like what the Exorcist's had back then?" Velvet asked. Magilou nodded. "Sorey, grab Alisha's hand." Lailah commanded. Sorey took Alisha's hand. "Divine Artifacts are vessels used for Armitzation." Lailah explained. "They help Seraphim conjoin with humans and fight back the Malevolence." Magilou helped. "Each Artifact is used for a specific element. And this bow was designed for a Water Seraph-" "Let's go." Sorey said, interrupting Lailah. "Huh? What's going on?" Alisha asked.

"Sorey doesn't want his friend to become a Sub Lord and help him." Lailah explained. "Why not? He seems like a great friend." Alisha questioned. "Because. This isn't his fight to join. This is my fight. Not his." And with that said, Sorey ended the conversation and continued onwards. Magilou and Velvet strayed behind the three. "He's gonna have to learn soon." Velvet told her companion. "And it won't be pleasant." Magilou replied. They all didn't see the Water Seraph reach and take the bow. When they neared the end of the ruins, they heard creatures scuttling around. "Stand ready!" Sorey called. 8 ginormous blue tinted centipedes crawled from the entrance in front of them and attacked. Four launched themselves at Velvet and Magilou while four others launched themselves at our Shepherd and his Squire. All five of them were losing ground, but it seemed as though Velvet and Magilou were bored.

Just as Sorey was about to get attacked, someone yelled out "Twin Flow!" Two blasts of water flew past Sorey and hit the Hellions. "Finally." Magilou groaned. Sorey turned and his face gained a smile. Mikleo stood there and he was carrying the blue bow. "Mikleo!" Sorey exclaimed. Mikleo held a determined expression and walked towards them. "So glad you... huh?" Sorey wondered as Mikleo continued walking past Sorey, ignoring him and heading straight to Lailah. "Okay Lailah, make me your Sub Lord." Mikleo stated. Lailah looked worried and asked "Are you sure?" "Hang on a minute!" Sorey called out stomping his way towards Mikleo. Mikleo turned to face Sorey and got in his face. "You're right. I am stubborn as a rock. I admit it. I'm hell-bent on becoming a Sub Lord. But there's something important you don't understand!" Mikleo yelled at him.

Sorey looked desperate now. "I do understand! I just didn't want you getting involved!" He told Mikleo. "Get over yourself." Mikleo fired back. "Guys! Now's not the time to be arguing!" Velvet yelled. "Can't you see we are currently dealing with poisonous bugs that can bite our heads off!" Magilou yelled out. They were ignored. "Do you really think this is your dream alone?" Mikleo asked. Just as Sorey was about to get attacked from behind, Alisha jumped in and defended. "Sorey, do as Mikleo says!" She said, surprising everyone. "You can hear him too?" Lailah asked, shocked. Sorey looked back at the determined Mikleo and smiled. He raised his arm and said "This is our dream." Mikleo smiled back and crossed his arm with Sorey's. "Now Lailah!" Both said, turning to the Fire Seraph. She smiled and bowed, saying "Very well." Sorey then left them and went in fighting.

"O ye born of the sacred currents of peace..." Lailah chanted. "Mikleo! Lailah!" Sorey called out worried lyrics as one of the Hellions avoided him and continued on. "Here, let the pact be forged, that my unquavering incandescence may be as thy purification!" She chanted loud and fast. "Shouldst thou accept this burden, recite aloud your- Et cetera!" Lailah finished with a smile. "Et cetera!?" Mikleo questioned, confused. "Et cetera?" Velvet and Magilou also questioned, looking at one another. Both Seraphim were then sent into Sorey, dodging the Hellion just in time. "Now, for the armatus." Lailah said, "Mikleo, give Sorey your true name!" "He already knows." Mikleo said, coming out of Sorey. "Heck, yeah I know it! (A/N: I know that wasn't canon, but it sounds better then 'You bet I do!')" Sorey said. "Oh my!" Lailah said.

"You ready for this Mikleo!?" Sorey asked as he and Mikleo went back to back. "Let's end this!" Mikleo replied. "Luzrov Rulay!" Both shouted. In a flash of blinding light, Sorey had grown a bit taller, his hair grew out, blue feathers were tied in various places, and his eyes became crystal blue. "Armitzation..." Velvet growled, kicking away one of the bugs. "And I thought we wouldn't have to see that anymore... oh well... nothing we can do now." Magilou stated, blowing back another Hellion using Fire Mine. Sorey was using the bow Mikleo found as his weapon. Sorey was blowing back the Hellions attacking him and Alisha, and with one Azure Assault, defeated all of them. He had finished them just in time to see Velvet and Magilou defeat their enemies. "And there you go Lady Calamity! Your feast! Crispy and cut up bugs!" She teased.

Velvet just rolled her eyes and unleashed her claw. She dug it into one of the monsters and absorbed the Malevolence. "No! Wait!" Lailah called out, horrified. But it was too late. The monster exploded into Malevolence and was absorbed by the claw. "You... you killed it..." Sorey stated, not comprehending what was happening. Velvet ignored them and did that to the second monster. After that one exploded, she head towards the other one, but a blast from Sorey quickly purified the monster. "That was my kill." Velvet told him. "Why are you killing them?" Sorey asked, anger in his voice. "That's what my claw does. Eats them and transfers the Malevolence to my arm." Velvet stated. "Maybe you can use your arm differently then just outright eating them." Lailah said. "Oh? What's this? The little Seraphim has an idea." Magilou teased. "What if you used your arm to devour the Malevolence from hard enemies, and Sorey then comes in and helps purify them?" Lailah asked.

That made Magilou and Velvet stiffen. "What?" Velvet asked. "Yeah! Maybe your arm could help purify very powerful Hellions by stealing their energy and then I come in and finish them off!" Sorey said with a smile. "Would that work though?" Magilou questioned. "It's worth a try, don't you think?" Alisha asked with a smile. With that said, the six heroes of our stories continued on their journey. Though two of them remained stiff and didn't know how to process the information given to them. I wonder if that will truly happen... they both thought in sync.
