Chapter 6: Magikazam!

When the group reached the pool and obtained the water, Sorey fainted. Velvet had to carry him back to Ladylake with the help of Magilou and Alisha. Magilou complained the whole way, but was ignored. By the time they got to the inn, ice had covered Magilou's mouth, rendering her speech useless. They placed him on the bed and they all sighed. "I'm off to bed. Mikleo, you can take off her mouth piece when I leave. Goodnight." Velvet said, exiting the room and going next door. As she laid down, she heard Magilou's muffled complaints from the other room. When she closed her eyes though, she found herself in her white dream landscape again. "Velvet!" She heard the familiar voice of her little brother call. She turned around fast and saw Laphicet giving her a wide smile. His blonde hair hanging over his ears and the clothes he was wearing was when before he was killed. Beside him was a woman in all white and red hair. Her eyes were crimson red, but she held a gentle smile.

"Seres! Laphi!" Velvet called with a smile. She rushed them and enveloped them in a group hug. "I'm glad your okay!" Laphicet said. "So am I. I don't know what I would have done if you had died." Seres stated. "What are you both doing here? Seres, I thought you moved on? And Laphi, I thought you were being controlled by Innominat?" Velvet asked. "I may have moved on, but I'm still the key component for the Sorcerer's Ring." Seres explained. Velvet blushed and said "R-Right. I knew that." Laphicet then started giggling. "Wow Velvet! I haven't seen you be embarrassed for a while! Also, the reason is that since you and Innominat both tried eating each other, I was freed and was transfered into your arm!" He explained. "I see." Velvet stated. "Now then, tell us what has happened." Seres said. Velvet gave her explanation to her brother and Malak Sister. "Hmm... it seems as though the Earthpulse and the Four Elemental Empyreans have plans for you." Seres stated.

"But how come they took her now and not before?" Laphi asked. "It probably has something to do with the Fifth Empyrean... Maotelus..." Velvet wondered. "That seems like the most possible conclusion. Something is wrong with him. And he needs assistance." Seres explained. "That means no matter what the Shepherd does..." Laphicet said, coming to the conclusion. "He won't realize that all the domains he's reestablishing is futile if Maotelus is filled with Malevolence." Velvet finished for him. "Correct." Seres said. That's when a thought came to Velvet's mind. "With the help of my arm, would Sorey be able to purify a Dragon?" Velvet asked Seres. This caught her by surprise. "I'm... not entirely sure. Even with the power of purification, once defeating it still kills it." Seres said. "But it could also work! Velvet would be absorbing the Malevolence from the Dragon's domain and weakening it to a point where it could be purified and bring back the Seraph!" Laphi exclaimed.

Seres and Velvet smiled. "That could be a possibility." Seres said. "But what if I couldn't stop and accidentally eat them instead?" Velvet asked. "Not if you eat the Malevolence from the domain! All you would have to do is have your arm absorbed the power resonating in the air and that could be enough to weaken the Dragon's power!" He said. Both Seres and Velvet thought it over. "Hmm... that could work Laphicet. If Velvet were to try absorbing the domain like how she absorbed the seals from the other Therians, then maybe the Dragon could become weaker." Seres explained. "And I would be saited." Velvet said. That's when her dream landscape started to become darker and Velvet's Brother and Malak Sister started to fade. "Your waking up." Seres said, moving away from Velvet. Velvet's face became depressed, until she felt hands go around her waist. "Don't worry Velvet, well always be with you." Laphicet said. And with that darkness covered her vision.

"No..." Velvet mumbled, her eyes closed. Magilou stood over her with an raised eyebrow. "My my... bad dream?" She asked the Lady Calamity. Velvet slowly opened her eyes and saw Magilou looking down at her. "No. Just a dream I didn't want to end." Velvet said, sitting up. Magilou nodded and Bienfu appeared at her side. "May we know what it was about Lady Velvet?" Bienfu asked as Velvet sat up. Velvet smiled and nodded.
