Eleanor didn't know what to expect when the ship had made it to port. The port was beautiful. It was a mix of ancient and new buildings. The whole place was also alive. People were bustling and hustling all around her. Shopkeepers were selling loads of stuff, and weapons seemed to be non-existent. There were Shopkeepers for food and healing supplies, such as cookies and Apple Gels. There were blacksmiths though. It had seemed everyone gained their own job and sold their own things. Kids were running around and laughing, playing games along the port. "Wow..." Kamoana said, fascinated. "How long have we been asleep?" Medissa wondered. "Must have been awhile..." Dyle said. "Greetings! Welcome to the Hyland Port Zekson!" A blue armored guard walking to them greeted. "Greetings. And I'm sorry, we came from a faraway land. But what is Hyland?" Eleanor asked.
"Hyland is half of the Glenwood continent. It was formed when Midgand and Eastgand became one over the years." The guard explained. "I see. Can we get a ride to the capital?" Eleanor asked. Before the guards could answer, two barks were heard from the ship they came off of. The four humans turned and saw a brown dog and a white dog bounded over to them from off the ship. "Ortho! Russ!" Kamoana yelled with a smile, going down and hugging the two dogs. "I can't believe we forgot about them! I'm so sorry." Medissa said, kneeling down and petting them. "Well, there is an empty carriage that can take all of you and your dogs." The guard said. "Thank you. That would be great." Dyle said, thanking the man. The guard led them over to it and helped them in. He then went to the driver of the carriage and said "Capital, Ladylake." The driver nodded and whipped the reins, making the horses go. It took them a day to get there.
"Woah..." Eleanor said with fascination. "Welcome to Ladylake! Capital of Hyland!" It looked almost like a floating fortress. "The Shepherd had just recently pulled the sword from the dias from the Church here, so the city is celebrating." The man driving the cart said. This caught Eleanor and everyone else's attention. "The Shepherd!?" She asked loudly. "Yes!" The man said, riding into town. All of them got off the carriage and said thank you to the man. Once the man was gone, they began exploring the town. Kamoana and Medissa went off with Ortho and Russ. Dyle went to the inn to get a couple of rooms. So, that left Grimoire and Eleanor to explore. "This city... it's been purified by the Shepherd." The Normin stated. "Is that a good thing? Or bad?" Eleanor questioned the Malak. "We'll soon see. Here he comes." Grimoire said, going back into the human. Eleanor was confused and looked up.
She saw a boy about her age with brown hair running towards her with a girl on his heels. The boy had a white glove on his right hand and a cloack with a familiar design style. "Come on Alisha! Maybe they are back at the inn!" The boy told his accomplice in worry. The girl looked somewhat regal, but also somewhat like a knight. The boy was looking over his shoulder when he collided with Eleanor. "Argh!" Eleanor groaned as she fell backwards. The boy fell with her. "Sorey!" Alisha called. "Ow..." Sorey said, slowly getting up. "That hurt..." he stated. "Ow..." Eleanor whimpered getting up into a seated position as well. "Sorey finally noticed the girl and said "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!" He helped her up and Eleanor said "It's no problem. I've dealt with worse."
"... huh!?" Lailah gasped in Sorey and Alisha's head. "What!?" Mikleo questioned in their head as well. "She has resonance almost equal to the Shepherd's!?" Lailah asked. This caused both Sorey and Alisha to stiffen. "Excuse me? Are you okay?" Eleanor asked. "Uh... yeah! Sorry. My name's Sorey and this is Alisha." Sorey introduced, his mind running wild with the new knowledge his Seraphim to him. "Nice to meet you. I'm Eleanor. I just recently arrived here with a bunch of my friends." Eleanor said with a kind smile, moving her left hand to hold her right arm. "He is the new Shepherd of this Era of Chaos. Seems like there is a new Lord of Calamity." Grimoire informed the teen. "Do you believe in Seraphim?" Sorey asked. Eleanor looked confused. "Seraphim. Sure, but I mostly believe in Malakhim." Eleanor explained.
Lailah and Mikleo left Sorey and stood beside him, staring at the girl in wonder. Eleanor didn't flinch or made any move to acknowledge them. Inside her head, she was freaking out. These were no Malaks, but their power were stronger then one. "So you house Seraphim?" Eleanor asked, her soft gaze becoming hard and cold. Sorey and his friends got into defensive positions.

Velvet and Magilou had only made it halfway up the mountain before needing to take a break. "Couldn't Eizen pick a better place to rest!? And not on a deadly mountain!?" Magilou screamed. They had faced many difficult Hellions, and they kept getting stronger the higher up you got. This mountain was tainted with Malevolence. But they did occasionally come across these purple orbs. The orbs radiated pure Malevolence, giving off an ominous vibe. Velvet would absorb these orbs and the air would become easier to breathe. "Well... at least we are absorbing the Malevolence in this place." Velvet said. Magilou slowly sat up and nodded. Bienfu appeared and did a quick scan of the area with his Normin powers. "This place is almost cleared of Malevolence! I sense two other powerful beings radiating Malevolence. One is stationary at the top of the mountain, the other is flying around the peak." He stated.
"Good job my little traitor." Magilou said with a smile. That's when they heard the familiar hum of a geotree. All three of them looked towards the edge and found flowing mana of the tree. "Come on!" Velvet told Magilou, quickly running over to it and touching it. The tree expanded and Velvet felt the familiar hum of the land. "Well... seems like we got a faster way to travel!" She said with a smile. She thought about her Geoboard and the Navy blue hover board appeared. "Yes! I don't have to walk anymore!" Magilou exclaimed with a grin. Velvet got on her board and Magilou sat on the back of it with Bienfu on her head. "And off we go!" Velvet yelled, shooting off with the board. "WOO HOO!" Magilou cheered. "BIEEEEN! BAD BAD!" Bienfu screamed in fear. They went through loads of Hellions, destroying them, but at the same time purifying them.
They reached the top of the mountain in less then 2 hours. "Well that was easy." Velvet said, slowing down. Once all three of them got off, Bienfu went back into Magilou. What they saw though was interesting. A large mass of Malevolence about 10 meters in diameter sat in front of them. The air around it was thick and hard to breathe. "My oh my... what is this? The Malevolence of this place is this powerful?" Magilou questioned. Velvet unleashed her deamon arm and placed the palm on the ball. "Stand back Magilou. This may get dangerous." Velvet informed, beginning to consume the Malevolence. The ball started to shine and convulse. "Eep!" Magilou squeaked, heading to behind a rock. The Malevolence was flowing into the deamon hand at a rapid rate and wasn't stopping. Velvet let out a war cry and the ball started to get smaller.
Finally, the ball became 50 centimeters and Velvet clenched her fist around it. The ball was then fully absorbed by her and Velvet's arm became normal and wrapped in an old bandage again. "There." Velvet said, turning around and making her way to Magilou. Magilou grinned when she saw that Velvet was okay. When Velvet reached Magilou, something landed behind her. Magilou's face fell and she paled considerably. Velvet looked confused and turned, only to come face-to-face with the growling mass of sharp teeth and scales. Eizen had transformed into a dragon over the time they were all apart. "N-Nice flying reptile..." Magilou said. Velvet slowly took steps backwards. The dragon was growling. "N-Now come on Eizen. You know me. Magilou? Does that ring a bell? You wouldn't attack me now." Magilou asked warily. The dragon, upon hearing this loaded up an Arte.
"And yes he would... RUN!" Velvet yelled to Magilou. Both screamed in terror as the dragon let loose an Earthquake, making jagged spikes stab from the ground. "Oh! Miss. Magilou! Eizen is the other Malevolence it seems!" Bienfu said in her head. "No really you sorry excuse of a Normin!" Magilou yelled. All the Hellions around them were also running away from the dragon. The made it down the mountain in one piece while Eizen stopped following them. "Jeez. Who knew that Eizen hated us this much..." Magilou said, out of breath. "Agreed..." Velvet said. "Velvet! Magilou!" The pair heard from near the river. They looked in the direction and saw Sorey, Mikleo, Lailah and Alisha waving to them. Another woman stood with them and followed them up to them. The woman seemed really familiar, but the two couldn't place their fingers on it.
"Guys! Where have you been!? We've been searching everywhere for you!" Mikleo yelled. "Went up to the Spiritcrest to look for something. We found a Dragon instead." Magilou explained. Velvet then launched and attack on the girl as the girl pulled out her spear. "Ah!" Everyone other then the two fighting yelled, being knocked away. "That spear..." Magilou said with realization. "You've lost your touch Eleanor." Velvet said with a smirk. Eleanor sent a smirk back. "So have you." She replied.
