Chapter 17

A-report

Glances were exchanged but it was Sang's voice that broke the silence, "Which Soul Calibur?"
The guys all gawked at her, and Victor could see her start starting to fidget at being in the spotlight.
"Do you play?"
She nodded, "An old roommate was obsessed and nobody else would play with her, so I played whenever I could."
"I only brought the fifth one, you play that one?" Nathan takes over the asking.
Sang gives a small laugh and nods, "That's the only one I've played."
"Awesome! We can play in the commons area right?" Luke asks.
Sang nods, "It'll be empty, as most of the kids leave when they get a chance."
Luke and Grabriel were out of the room before anyone could say anything and Nathan was following close behind them. The rest laughed and slowly began to trickle out of the bedroom. Victor stood by Sang as everyone was out of the room.
"Aren't you going with us?"
"Oh, well, I thought that you guys would just want to hang out with her friends without me," she mumbles shyly, adorably.
"No! We want you to come and meet and get to know our friends too! You are more than welcome to come. Besides, do you think Shawna or Lucy would let you escape? They would end up dragging you down there, and then probably take turns sitting on you," Victor softly laughs at the images of Sean or Luke trying to sit on Sang in front of Gabriel or even Silas and North, they would get tossed out of the room.
"They totally would!" Sang laughs and follows Victor out of the room, remembering to lock the door.
"So, how long have you guys been a friends?"
"Since we were 8 about, besides Silsa and North and then Shawna and um Owen," Victor stumbled, feeling extremely awkward saying Owen instead of Mr. Blackbourne. 
"Wow, there's nine of you? How have you guys managed to stay close?"
"Um, well, they became my extended family in a way, we are all really close to one another, and we support each other through hard times."
"Wow, that must be nice," Sang softly says.
Victor nods as they round the corner and hear the laughter and shouts that the video game brings out.
"Sang! You play winner!" Luke shouts above the other noise.
She nods and takes a seat by Sean.
Nathan and Gabriel are battling it out, Nathan has Xiba, who has a rod type weapon and Gabriel is playing Leixia, who uses a chinese blade. Nathan is currently winning as he has two wins and Gabriel only has one. It looks like Nathan is going to win this one too.
"Damn, damn, shhit, fuck!" Gabriel mumbles under his breath as Nathan character unlocks his soul gage and finishes off Gabriel's character. "Fuck, okay, Sang, avenge me!"
Sang giggles taking the controller then moving to a different seat to be able to see the screen better and sit on her knees.
The screen is back to the character selection and Nathan chooses the same character as Sang goes through all of them, looking before she decides on Nightmare, who uses the Soul edge or a really big sword! The game is set up so one person has to win three matches to be able to be the winner of the battle.
The battle starts with Nathan taking the lead as Sang gets re-familiar with the controls. She gets to sucked into the struggling battle, Sang didn't notice when she rises to her knees and leans against Sean as she loses balance from time to time. Not that Sean cared, he would happily be her support beam any day. The screen flashes that Nathan wins, and she pokes her lip out, looking at Nathan who simply smirks back. Gabe leans over and pokes her lip. "None of that now. It's not fair." She huffs, and Luke smiles at her from his position beside Gabriel. The game quickly starts again, and after the small refresher, Sang quickly takes the second win. This ties them up 1-1. Xiba is a fast long and short range character and Nightmare is a slow long range character, but if you know how to use Nightmare, he can dominate his opponents, of course this is with all characters, but Nightmare is just awesome. The third round is set up, and Nathan needs this to tie up, or otherwise Sang takes the win, he smirks at her. "Get ready to go down."
"In your dreams." Is her sassy reply, and Sean just chuckles as she leans on him again for balance when the game starts. It doesn't take long for Sang to get the lead, and before anyone can really grasps what happened, Sang unlocks the soul gage which is a special move and she is declared winner.
"Haha! I have avenged you fellow knight!" Sang laughs as she tells Gabriel. Nathan being a good sport about it, laughs as well.
Sang ends up handing off the controller as well as Nathan, and watch the other's take turn battling.
"Oh, Shawna!" Sang suddenly starts, grabbing everyone's attention, "When do I get to meet your Owen?" Nathan having just taken a drink of water, spits it directly onto North's shirt.
"Nathan! What the fuck?!"
Luke, Victor, and Kota all start to quietly laugh as the rest of the guys stare at Sean, like they don't know what to make of this.
Sean, sharing the same shocked face, and surprising everyone when a red tint colors his cheeks, "Sang, Pookie, I told you that it wasn't like that."
Luke, Victor, and Kota just smirk at each other, laughing harder.
"Mmhmm, sure, but he's still your guy's friend right? When do I get to meet him? Why isn't he here today?"
The guys all shared a look, not really knowing what to say, until Sean gets that gleam in his eye that scares everyone when they see it.
"Do you really want to meet him Sang?"
"Of course, why wouldn't I?"
He starts to laugh, "Alright, I'll see what I can do."

A/N: WE ARE BACK BIRDS AND DOGS! Okay, so obviously something came up (cause life happens) and we weren't able to update for a bit. Now though, we are back with weekly updates. Starting with a light happy filler and *gasp* Owen maybe visiting? Hmmm how is our Mr. Blackbourne going to handle this wrench? And just what does Shawna have planned? *rubs hands together* things are going to get interesting. Now we will see you next week with the update!
