A-report: Owen's POV
WednesdaySang sighed as the bell rang. Her violin still poised on her shoulder, but she quickly tucked it into her bag. The punishments here have not been narrowed down, but I could tell by the way her back straightened and her face pinched she was worried about being late to her next class. She started to call for the boys, but I quickly cut her off. "Please go on Miss Sorenson, I need to talk to the rest in private." She tensed at this, but Kota smiled at her and she relaxed. Interesting. She made eye contact with Sean, Luke and Victor before quickly exiting the room with a small wave. As she rounded the corner exactly five seconds passed. "Report," I said dropping the feminine tone I had been using.
"We've been here a week and very little progress has been made. We see the signs of abuse, but aside from Sang's injuries earlier this week we haven't seen it actually happen." Kota states.
"We do have proof that something happened with pictures taken of Sang's hands, but that isn't nearly enough to shut this place down." Sean continues for him with furrowed brows. Victor sighs, but when I raise a brow he elaborates.
"The cameras have picked up small instances of a teacher raising their voice, or threatening a child with a trip to the Headmistress or detention, but nothing extreme besides the children's reactions."
"We should focus on freshman. Their class block and dorm rooms will be the most helpful." Luke states while his eyebrows furrow in thought.
"Continue Ms-Mr. Taylor." I say, and Sean smirks at my slip up.
"The seniors and people we are interacting with will be used to it. Complacent and sneakier. They know the rules, so they will have figured out ways to work around the system. They will know the limits. Freshman are new, and won't have figured everything out. Sang for example warned us right off the bat, and continues to try to protect us. She knows the rules, and the only one she is unsure about still is you." He says while looking at me. I nod, and the others mull over his words.
"Luc-ke you actually can be smart sometimes." Sean teases.
"Sometimes my ass! You know I'm the smartest one here." He says as his hip cocks and his hair flips. The others raise a brow and his eyes widen, realizing what he has done. He straightens quickly and coughs. "Uh, yeah dude. Anyway, stop staring." Sean and Victor choke back a laugh while I simply smirk, and Kota shakes his head.
"Mr. Taylor is correct, the freshman would be more susceptible to abuse."
The others nod, and they start to plan. Before it can get to in depth, I redirect the conversation. "How are things going with Ms. Sorenson."
"She's fiercely loyal."
"She's so freaking sweet."
"Princess is doing well, but is still being harrassed by Jade."
"Pookie is still her adorable little self." I lifted a brow at the four, and Kota blushed.
"You mean is she suspicious."
"Yes Mr. Lee," I said and waited as Victor's face heated up as well.
"No, she asked about Nate yesterday."
"You mean your boyfriend?" Lucy says with a smile, and Victor shakes his head.
"I heard you talking to her yesterday about YOUR boyfriend Luke." Luke rolls his eyes and playfully nudges him away.
"Speaking of boyfriends, has anyone figured out a way to introduce Mr. B to Sang without it being Mr. B?"
"We could just tell her he couldn't make it." Victor suggest, but then winces. "Although, she would be disappointed, it would cause the least amount of resistance."
"She would be so upset, and you saw how she reacted to the 'bad boyfriend'. She would literally hate Owen for not seeing Shawna. Especially if he was supposed to be a close friend." Kota quickly points out and Sean nods.
"I have a solution, but we will lose a favor."
"Really?" Sean perks up.
"Coming from Sean's account of course, since he agreed to this." Sean shrugs, and I continue. "The Tomas are currently around the area. Due to a current mission and bird." The boys perk up, since the Toma team are close family friends they tend to react to news surrounding the team. "I was not privy to details, but was told this because they are our back-up if anything is needed while here."
"Get on with it Owen, we have to get to class." Sean rolls his eyes.
"Right, I will contact Axel and he will play the role of Owen Blackbourne. He will be the only one able to capture half of the personality I'm sure you have told Sang over the past week." Sean smirks and the others laugh.
"Marc would be out the second we mentioned he had to play you." Luke says.
"Can you imagine Brandon in a suit and glasses?" Victor smirks.
"Raven would be my vote." Sean says with a evil grin.
"Then it is settled. She will meet 'Owen' on Saturday." I say, and the agreement 'I am willing and will obey' rings throughout the room. "Good, then unless you need to speak to me privately, I will write you all hall passes. Please stay out of trouble, and look out for anything. Remember the mission." I warn. I know the boys are getting too attached to Sang. I worry for them. At the end of this assignment Lucy, Shawna, Kota, and Victoria will no longer exist. What will she think when we reveal the truth? I know the boys will want to protect her. Victor is the only one who raises his hand, and the others quickly rush off to class. "What is it you need Mr. Morgan?" I say, bringing myself out of my current thoughts.
"I've done some digging on Sang like you requested." I nod at this, expecting him to continue. "I came up empty. Nothing. Just a few old school records. No pictures. No doctor visits. Nothing on her dad's tax returns. Hell, even the birth certificate and social security card on file look sketchy. I will keep digging, but I don't think I will be able to find anything. We might need to bring Corey in on this." He says with a sigh.
"You think she may be-"
"A ghost, yes. No social media, no bills, nothing but a few school records that could easily be wiped. If she isn't a kidnap victim," he visibly winces at the sight, "then she doesn't exist in the eyes of the government if that birth certificate isn't valid. Although, looking at her sister's old record it looks to be a copy." I sigh, this brings in a new host of problems.
"Thank you for looking Mr. Morgan. At least we know she has no criminal background you need to worry about." He laughs at this.
"As if that girl could hurt a fly. She's as open as a book. No way could she be a criminal." My mouth twitches at that. He certainly isn't wrong.
"We will consult the Toma team on this as well. Hopefully I will be able to arrange a meeting between Axel and I next week to talk about the possibility and if we need him to keep playing 'Owen' for us." Victor nods and I write him a quick hall pass as well. Grabbing my briefcase and tidying up the room I follow him out. The entire time, a small bird was on my mind. Sang Sorenson, what are you doing to my team?

Wow, this was a .5 chapter but it turned out longer than I thought....ANYWAY it's a few days later than I thought, but you didn't have to wait months this time! Hope you enjoyed it, and don't worry. We are working on the next chapters too. Hopefully we can keep up with the good streak. Cause we finally made it a whole week in the story (wow that's a lot of chapters for a week, plus like 3 days for "shown mission prep")!
