Sang's POV
Oh my gosh. I beat them, and I get to meet Owen! I smile to myself as Shawna laughs. For some reason the others are all looking kind of wary at that gleam in her eye. Hmmm, maybe she is sick. Their eyes all eventually land on me though, and it's getting uncomfortable. I've gotten used to the girls' attention over the past week, but these are guys. Boys. Well, North and Silas aren't really boys. Neither is Nathan, or Gabe, but definitely not the first two. Men. Mother's words-step mother's words ring in my mind as I look into Silas' kind eyes. Rapist. Murderer. How could this boy-man be one? "Aggele, what do you call a fake noodle?"
Random much? "I don't know."
"An impasta!" I let loose a loud giggle. The joke itself was horrible, I must admit, but the way Silas said it made it hilarious. The others let out a variety of groans, and Lucy looks at me.
"Cupcake! Don't encourage the brute with your cute giggles! He won't ever stop with the lame jokes." I smirk and try to contain my laugh at her puppy-dog like pout. Again, all eyes are on me. More exactly my face, and I chew on my lip. I need a break. I look to Kota, and she nods with a slight smile. I know she understands that I've been overwhelmed.
"I will be right back. Excuse me." I says and North rises with me. "Wha-"
"What's wrong Sang Baby?"
Sang Baby? "Um, nothing, I just need to use the restroom."
"Oh." He looks into my eyes and I raise a finger to my lip. Can he tell what's wrong? Kota clears her throats and reluctantly, North sits back down. I smile my thanks at her, and make my way out of the room and to the bathroom.
After I do my business, I wash my hands. Looking up at the mirror, I take a moment to look at myself. My green eyes are bright, my cheeks are pink, and I have a small smile on my face. I'm having fun. I'm having fun with a bunch of guys. But I hate all the attention on me. I feel like I might have a panic attack if everyone continues to stare at me, well kind of. A small part, a very small part, is loving all of this attention.
Deciding that I have spent way too long already, I head back to the commons room. Not watching where I was going I run into something.
"Ah, my sweet, little Dove, I was just looking for you," Jade's voice flows into my ears as she wraps her arms around me.
"Oh, um, hi, Jade, I'm sorry I ran into you," I say politely and try to step back, but her arms tighten around me, not letting me move.
"Well, if you want to make it up to me, let me take you out for lunch?"
Why-why does this happen with me? I don't even know how this girl came to like me. We have literally only talked a handful of times. All of which has been her trying to, as Lucy would say, get in my pants with different horrible nicknames. "Um, Jade, as-"
"Sang?" Oh thank God. North comes around the corner with his scowl set on Jade as she stares at him with some kind of odd gleam in her eye. "Are you okay?"
The harpy's arms tighten around me, and my face is buried in her now primped and pushed forward chest. Are these real? No way they are real.
"She's fine." Jade says in a mix between a purr and hiss. Was that supposed to be sexy? "Who are you? I haven't seen you around before sexy." Run North. Run fast.
"I'm a friend." He leaves it at that, and Jade loosens her grip around my body.
"Well, any friend of my Sangie-Poo is a friend of mine." Her emphasis on friend led to her double meaning. North simply lifts a brow at the nickname, and I roll my eyes. "How about we all go out for a lunch? It's getting around that time-" All of us? I mentally choke. I mean I know Jade is um loose, but this?
"Time for you to leave." Silas interrupts.
"Excuse me?"
"You're excused." She lets go of me, and immediately, North wraps an arm around my shoulders. She balks at the Greek giant, who dismisses her so easily. I, however, smile at my two giant rescuers. Happy to be out of the harpy's clutches. North just leads me back to the common room, ignoring the huff from Jade, and what I assume is her whining screeches.
We make it to the commons quickly. I wouldn't say we were running away like we were being chased by a creature from the pits of hell, but I'm not saying we weren't either.
"What the hell happened to you guys?" Shawna asks, as she watches us rush into the room, gaining the attention of the others.
I look at her with an annoyed tilt of my head. "Jade. Jade is what happened to us."
"The girl just won't give up." Lucy says with a click of her tongue. "Gotta admire her determination."
"I think Sang could do without it." Victoria says with a smirk. Gotta say, these girls do know how to brighten my mood after being hit on by crazy girls. The only other person that could do that was-OH CRAP. My eyes are immediately drawn to the clock hanging on the wall. The cracked face showing that I didn't have much time.
"I gotta go." I mutter quickly before turning on my heals. Voices call out as I go to run.
"Cupcake? You okay?"
"Pookie?"
"Princess?"
"Sang-what's wrong?"
"Nothing! I just forgot something. I will be back, bye!" With that I rush out of the room, only the slight bark of Kota telling everyone to stay is heard before I rush out of the room, and after a quick thought of Jade, take another route to the bathroom to get the SD card. Totally feeling like a spy, I duck and pause to check to make sure Jade is nowhere in sight. I make it to the bathroom, and check to make sure I am alone before going over to the loose brick. I pull it out, and then reach in to grab the tin can. Taking out this week's two cards, I tuck them into my bra. Being as light on my toes as possible, I make my way out of the building and onto the paved path that will lead me where I need to go. I smirk as I hum "Mission Impossible". I'm an awesome spy.
