he sat alone in his bed, the sun shining against his satin curtain abiding his solid white windowpane.

his heart was happy as he cuddled a stuffed pug he named charles.

joshua woke with a grin plastered upon his face and he called his dog junior to his pastel room.

the blue-haired boy heard a familiar click against the tile of his home, and smiled as his boston terrier came to view.

"hey bub!" he cheered kissing his little puppy.

"josh are you awake?" a familiar voice chimed in. "yes momma!"

"i made panny-cakes!" he heard his mother say as he left his room, carrying his black and white love.

"hey momma," josh side-hugged her.
"good morning, sit down at the table please, i have breakfast ready."

he obeyed, frowning at the empty seat across from him, "when's poppa c'min' home?"

his mother's fade faltered, trying not to cry, "u-um h-he'll be home s-soon love! until then just hang tight, and eat your breakfast hun," she said as calm and collective as she could.

"hey tyty!" josh shouted, sprinting up to hug his best friend.

"hey joshie boy," he chuckled, josh completely running him over from the impact of the embrace.

"you okay bub?"

josh nodded happy to hug tyler a closer way, shutting his eyes.

the taller of the two looked down at the sweet boy embracing him gently. his expression was envy, and adoration, all laced with love of course. josh looked up after hugging him, blushing as he was still on top of his friend.

"s-sorry," he stuttered.
"'s okay, love, i don't mind," he replies sitting them both up.

the hue-haired boy's face flushes more as he tried to wipe the heat radiating off his pale face.

"come inside josh, i'll get a movie started or somethin' an' since we don't have to go to uni until wednesday, if you want we can have a sleepover!"

"of course i'd love to!"

tyler watched a movie with his favorite blue haired hue cuddled at his side. josh didn't know that he was doing a 'couple-type-thing' and the brunette didn't understand why.

he loved that the shorter boy didn't know of the cruelties of this harsh planet they were on, but that didn't stop him from imagining, would they even be friends?

"ty? you silly y'u were spacin' out again!" he purred.
"sorry joshie."

joshua did know that his best friend thought too much, and was often upset, he just didn't understand why.

one moment he'll feel fuzzy, looking at the chocolate eyed boy, not knowing how or why, and then the next his thought cloud has been muffled, starting to rain. he felt stupid, most kids understood it. why is my best friend crying in his sleep? why is he rocking himself, why won't he tell me what's wrong? why won't he understand i can hear him, and let me know why his cloud is raining?

"ty," he interrupts.
"yes love?" the brunette replies causing the other's face to turn maroon.
"'m wanna talk with you," he says as collectively as possible.

"what's wrong?" tyler turns away from the tv.

"why do you cry so much?" he asks sincerely, the question burning the chocolate eyed boy's heart.

"y'u see joshua, depression, well, i have it, basically, i'm a debbie downer," they both frown.

"so you're sad all the time? why?"

"'s a long story bub, i just hate myself-"

"WHATWHYWHY DO YOU HATE YOURSELF?"

"everything i do is a mistake, my being is not inspirational, the planet will still rotate if 'm not here."

"you just lied ty," the ocean-blue haired boy sniffles, "because my world will crumble down like the clouds forming a t-torn-nado- i-i would do anything to be with you if you weren't here."

"when i look at you- when i think about you- this warm feeling erupts from 'm tummy, like a volcano, 'nd i don't know what it means but t-ty, i don't want it to disappear, i don't want you to go away."

"j-josh i-"

"because you're superbly wonderful."
