four years.

josh cuddled his friend's side sighing.

he didn't understand much but he was happy. he felt a soft bubble in his tummy when he saw his best friend.

his natural hair was glittering in the sunset, as he was on a hill, his head on his best friend.

smiling, looking at tyler, he sets his lips on the others, and they stayed there, still.

the brunette's were still as well, confused.

"i see momma an' papa do that a' da time an' then 'ey say 'ey lo'e each other- so i thought i'd do the same to you, 'm love ya tybunny."

six year old tyler hummed, these words from his love caused him to erupt delicious honey that had been stirring in the pit of his belly; it felt safe and warm.

"'m love ya more joshiebear."

the raven haired boy hums a tune he heard on the radio-thing-he-didn't-know-what-the-fudge.

tyler fed him a spoonful of maple syrup, yes, from the trees, so josh always feels sweet.

he fed him a marshmallow, so he is always gentle.

he fed him a piece of cotton candy, so he is always kind. it worked.

"wha' ya singin' bub?" the brunette asked.

"i thin' it'a girlie," his friend laughs, feeding him some chocolate milk and whipped cream, "nah i meant, like, who?"

"beegima speaktir," he replies, gulping the milk.

"regima spoktear?"

"no, bu' like, beema spektear."

(a/n: a condom ad came on, whilst im writing about four n six year olds. nice.)

they were having a slumber party, dancing to ne-yo, pretending they'd not said they always wanted to spend the rest of their lives together, 'burever'.

their pajamas consisted of matching sapphire blue cookie monster pants, and each had just a plain white shirt.

josh laid on his stomach, while the other was on his back, looking at those glow in the dark stars on the ceiling.

"love you," the brunette had whispered, being the only one that somewhat knew what love is.

"i 'ove 'ou more, tybunny," josh looked up from his coloring book to his friend.

"you're jus' sayin' that," his friend almost cried.

"'m not."
