So... hey. The reason I've been away for so long is because of hectic school stuff and plus I've been so low on inspo. But, even if this is a bad chapter (ie a filler chap) it's still a chapter. I can't promise the updates will be frequent but I hope they'll be worth it.

(A few days pass)

Within a short passing of three or so days, Kara is completely, physically better. Mentally, though, she will forever have those scars. The only thing physically that still ails her is the annoying pop of her wrist every time she moves it. No thanks to having been stuck under an IV forever.

She reclines on her couch, a furry, extremely soft blanket draped over her; watching a super cliche rom-com and eating buttery popcorn that'll always make you want to go back for more. And, of course, in the chair opposite of her is Oliver.

At the moment, she didn't want to be anywhere alone, she needed someone that she trusted by her side, and plus her sister and Oliver insisted upon it. She was slightly disappointed because Barry had to go back, but he checked in on her occasionally to see how she was doing.

She was snapped out of her thoughts as soon as Oliver turned off the TV and turned to her with a no-nonsense look on his face. "Alright, get up, get off your ass, take a shower and get changed. We are going hiking," he orders, with a hint of playfulness to his voice. She scowled but a corner of her mouth was quirked up. She could tell he was joking.

She hopped up and quickly washed her hair and body, dried her hair, got dressed, and brushed her teeth. Oliver looked mildly surprised but smiled, she looks cute, he thinks to himself. She was wearing a teal tank top, with straps criss-crossed on the back, teal and royal purple yoga pants with a little bit of fishnet around the bottom and some purple running shoes. Her hair was tied up in a neat ponytail, little braids pulled into it. She smiled brightly at him, her gorgeous cerulean colored eyes gleaming with excitement.

"Alright, lets go. Do you know where a good trail is?" He opens the door for her and motions her out. Then stepped out behind her and closed it, making sure it was locked. He could smell the faint smell of Chinese food, Kung Pao Chicken maybe? He chuckles when he glances over at Kara and almost thinks that he sees a dribble of drool coming out of her mouth.

She blinks before replying. "Uh, there's one at least 25 minutes from the city, we'll have to take a cab. It's a nice woody slope with a few lakes scattered here and there. It's a forty minute walk or a thirty-five minute jog. I think you'll enjoy it. I usually go there when I want to get fresh air," she answers only pausing to take a breath once when speaking.

"I'll pay the cab fee then," he tells her, not leaving her a chance to do so.

She grumbles incoherently before saying this "Thank you for doing this, because I forgot my wallet." She says it's so quietly, so timidly, that he has to strain his ears to hear her. He bites his tongue so he doesn't erupt in laughter.

"Only you Kara, only you. Has your mind finally turned to mush from all of the television you've watched?" He jokes and chokes on laughter when he sees her turning red from embarrassment. Her lips pucker like she had eaten something sour and her eyebrows furrow. And, this, honestly, makes him laugh even harder.

She looks like a mix between an adorable puppy and a child who didn't get their way. He laughs a bit longer before she aggressively hits him in the arm, likely leaving a bruise. This shuts him up fully.

He sighs and glances at her before apologizing. That is the longest and hardest he's laughed in a good while. He thinks back, Felicity never made him laugh this hard, and at that moment he tries to erase any thought of her from his brain. This is Kara, this is different. Her melodious laugh brought him back from his thoughts.
