[Periscope and Dice sit on their couch. Periscope is reading a book, and Dice doesn't say anything.]
Dice: Hey, Peri?
Periscope: Yeah?
Dice: Do you know anyone named Meredith Simmons?
Periscope: ... Meredith?
Dice: Yeah.
Periscope: ... No, it doesn't ring a bell... why?
Dice: There's a birth record in our back room for Meredith Simmons, I have no idea where it came from. I was just wondering if you knew.
Periscope: I don't. Where is it?
Dice: Here, let me see.
[Dice walks out of frame. We hear them walk into another room. Periscope puts their book down, nervously. Dice comes back with a piece of paper.]
Dice: See?
Periscope: Yeah... it was just lying around?
Dice: Yeah.
Periscope: We should keep this somewhere safe in case this person ever comes looking for it, you know?
Dice: Yeah, I guess. But what would someone from the west be over here for?
Periscope: I don't know, their birth record. Or maybe they got displaced, or something. I don't know.
Dice: I suppose.
Periscope: I'll hold on to this so we don't lose it. You know how terrible you are at keeping papers.
Dice, suspiciously: Ok.
[Periscope leaves the frame with the piece of paper. A knock on the door is heard a second later. Dice goes to open it, and comes back with Pipette. Pipette puts a stack of mail on a nearby table.]
Dice: Really?
Pipette: What? Oh, no, that's my mail, not yours.
Dice: Ok... Anyways, I asked Periscope about the birth record. They say they don't know anything about it, but they were just... really weird about it.
Pipette: Weird how?
Dice: They wanted to take it off my hands. I don't know. It seemed... weird, is all.
Pipette: Hm... Hey, I'm out of tea, do you have any?
Dice: Yeah, I think there's some in the kitchen.
[The camera cuts to the two of them in the kitchen. There is a stack of mail on the table between the two of them. A mug sits in front of Dice's place. Pipette is drinking from a mug, and then sets it down.]
Pipette: Let's see what we have here, shall we?
Dice is inspecting the letters as Pipette takes one off the stack and opens it.
Pipette: A bill.
Dice: A bill for what?
Pipette: Electricity.
[Pipette puts the letter aside and opens another.]
Pipette: Magazine subscription cancelled.
Dice: Was the magazine subscription ever applied in the first place?
Pipette: Nope.
Dice: Must've been a previous tenant.
Pipette: Must've been.
