I haven't ridden in a couple of days, because school started. I am homeschooled, but my mom is really wanting me to be the best student in the world. Basically, for the first month of school my mom gives me excessive amounts of homework.

I get some studying in before going out to the barn to do some chores. Once again, I see the mysterious stable hand. I can't call him "new," anymore because it's been a few months now. I grab the hose and start filling up the horses water buckets.

"What is your name?" I ask the stable hand. I looks at me with his bright green eyes.

"Sorry, what?" he asks, wanting me to repeat.

"You've been here for a while and I still don't know your name."

"It's Greyson." he replies, "What's yours?"

"Nora." I reply. Neither of us speak after that. There's nothing to talk about. I drag the hose outside and fill the waters in the paddocks. Conway comes up to get a drink. He continues to escape the paddocks, but my dad always laughs and says, "He's just getting some training in."

Conway looks up at me, with water dripping from his mouth. He stretches his neck to get as close to me as he can without moving his legs. I pet his face gently. He never lets anyone touch him. He can only tolerate someone putting his halter on.

Conway pulls back and walks away to join the other horses. I never realized how handsome he really is. Maybe he isn't so bad after all.

A/N

Heyooooooooo. So, I've been writing a lot more lately to get my mind off of things. My horse Dream was recently diagnosed with laminitis, equine cushings disease and an insulin deficiency. I can't ride her for another two months. Basically, my summer has sucked: not just because of Dream, but other personal things.
