***Autumn's POV***

I tried taking a nap, but all I could think about was Jake kissing that Scarlett. Who was she? Did they have a history? She didn't look familar. Is she the reason why he couldn't love me? All these questions were running through my mind. The door opened, and Jake peeped his head in.

"Can we talk?" he asked once he saw I was awake.

"Are you sure you're not busy?" I asked.

"Autumn, what you saw was Scarlett kissing me by surprise. I didn't know she was going to do that especially right when you showed up."

I rolled my eyes sitting up, "Do you really except me to believe that? How do I know she hasn't been here all week?"

"You can ask George or any of the maids, and they will tell you the truth. I swear I'm telling the truth Autumn. Believe me. You don't know how much I've missed you."

I glared at him not sure whether to believe him.

"Who is she?" I asked.

"She's a friend I grew up with," he explained sitting down on the bed next to me.

"How come you never told me about her?"

"She's from my past, and I don't want to remember the past ok?"

"So you left you're best friend?"

"I chose to go in a different direction ok?"

"So what is she doing here then?"

"She needs a place to stay. Her father passed away, and she doesn't have anybody, so she tracked me down because she knew I could help."

"So she's staying with us." I declared.

"Only if you're ok with it."

I thought about for a moment before answering, "Fine, but she can stay in the guest house unless if she's already stayed in your room then I guess she can stay there."

"Autumn! We haven't done anything!" he was frustrated.

I narrowed my eyes, "I'll stay here anyway." I got up and proceeded to take out my clothes and souvenirs from my luggage.

"I didn't know what to get you, so I got you a snowglobe of the Eiffel Tower," I handed it to him.

"Thanks, but I prefer your postcard. It made me really happy and miss you more," he wrapped his arms around my waist from behind.

"You probably didn't miss me one bit," I said a smile tugging at my lips.

"I missed your smiling face, your big brown eyes, nerdy glasses, all the dumb arguments we get into, and most of all your lips."

I blushed. I had missed him too. He was always on my mind.

I turned to face. His lips were so close, and they were getting closer. I put a finger to his lips, "Oh no you don't mister. I'm not kissing you right after you kissed another woman."

He did his famous pout.

"I don't want mono mister," I said.

He groaned, "Fine, but I think Scarlett should stay in one of the guest rooms. She feels alone Autumn."

I sighed frowning. I knew how she felt.

"Fine, but I want you with me," I said hugging him. I inhaled his familiar homely scent. "I missed you alot. I especially missed your hugs."

"Just my hugs?" he chuckled into my hair.

"Well, everything really."

He chuckled once more before I left for a shower.
